The only positive aspect of this hotel was its prime location Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was extremely disappointing. We were initially placed in a room that felt like it had not been updated since the 1960s. Everything was old and poorly maintained—the toilet and bathtub were outdated, there were water leaks, and the overall condition of the room was unacceptable. The smell throughout the hotel was also unpleasant. Because of these issues, we decided to leave the room and relocate to the Waldorf Astoria the following day, although we were still charged for half a day’s stay. Another friend in our group remained at the hotel and was able to move to a renovated room, which was somewhat better and more presentable. While the hotel’s interior architecture and historic character were impressive, the poor room condition, maintenance issues, and odor made for a very disappointing stay. I would not choose to stay here again.

Location was good The beds were extremely small and hard, very u comfortable. The carpet was dirty, the room and decor were old, the pool and gym were closed our entire stay.

The hotel has a great location really close to many attractions! Staff is friendly and knows English. I guess it depends on what room you get. We had a newer one and everything was great. Room temperature can be regulated. Nothing specific,maybe the price could be a little more affordable

It was one of the weirdest experiences. After I checked in, the receptionist and a police officer/security personnel knocked on my door without any advanced notice, which was very disturbing. They checked my passport again and even wanted to check inside the room, like I am a criminal. This is not how you treat tourists visiting your country. The pinned location of the hotel in Booking was not correct, but they fixed it after I complained about it to Booking. The bed was very uncomfortable as well.

Even though we were worried because the reviews were not so good, we were pleasantly surprised as we had a very good experience. We were upgraded to a high floor in the main tower - room was large and super comfortable with views to the city. Bed was comfortable, great shower, and clean. Breakfast was really good with lots of choices for westerners. Staff was nice and the location is perfect. Nothing really, all was good.

We have to catch the elevator to 2nd floor and walk to catch another elevator to our rooms.
