Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel

We truly appreciated the hotel's ambiance, the spaciousness and cleanliness of the rooms, and the overall service, which made us feel right at home. We are grateful to the front desk staff for their professionalism in resolving any issues we encountered. We would also like to give special thanks for the breakfast, which was both extensive and delicious. Room and bathroom size Breakfast was one of the worst hotel breakfasts we have ever come across. Choices were limited and there was no change to the menu although you would know your guests usually stay at least 3 - 4 nights. Most disappointing.

Breakfast was unbelievable. Room was good and very quiet. A good place to land after a long journey. On the pricier side.

I appreciated the building itself as well as the interior of the room and lobby. Did not have a chance to use the facilities (spa, etc.), but probably will go back to stay in a couple days to finalize our China trip and will be using those. The location was quite central, within the proximity of main shopping area as well as the forbidden city, so if you are trying to explore all the main attractions in Beijing, the hotel is located well. Separate comment about the breakfast- it’s definitely worth it. Despite not choosing the option of breakfast when I was booking, I had breakfast at the hotel almost everyday. I do have to point out that the rooms have aged slightly, but it’s not too bothersome. Another downside was that none of the hotel staff spoke English- not that I see it as mandatory, but other hotels of this price range and caliber had reception staff who could communicate in English, which was helpful.

The hotel is very well situated in Wangfujing, within walking distance of the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and a few museums and galleries. Also really close to the Wangfujing by Pedestrian St which is filled with shops and eateries. The shower at this hotel was amazingly good. Large rain shower head, strong water pressure and heated really quickly. One of the best I’ve seen in a hotel. The hotel room was large and the temperature control was not great. Being there in winter the room was constantly cold despite me setting the heating to maximum and letting it run all day. I was also given a corner room which is good because it’s quiet but the room only had two very small windows running along the back wall (at the head of the bed). The rest was walled up so most of the time I needed lights in the room cos there was barely natural light. The staff were okay, polite and professional but the couple of times I asked concierge for help, their service didn’t really hit the mark for me. Not difficult requests just some help with the heating and also to change a reservation time for me.

The accommodation is in a great location and very convenient. The room is spacious, and the staff are extremely helpful and attentive, always ready to assist and provide excellent service. The room is a bit dated, and cleanliness could be improved in some spots.

Super nice and clean Nothing

The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance a "walking street", malls, and restaurants. The staff were amazingly friendly. The room was spacious with a comfy bed. The breakfast had plenty of options and was truly delicious The lobby looked a bit dim. The price was a bit high.

Everything was clean and the room was big and comfortable. I went with a Chinese friend and at the time of check out the staff wouldn’t even look at me she was just speaking in Chinese to my friend about what the deposit they took being refunded in my card. Since I was the one who paid and I was the person speaking to her I found it rude that she kept talking about this to my friend. Also I didn’t want my friend to know how much I paid and the staff at reception kept taking to my friend about all this details.

Great location My room is a bit small

The room was lovely, comfortable bed & very calming. Good breakfast but choices were exactly the same every day for our 3-day stay. Quite limited English of reception desk staff. Concierge staff English was better but still halting.

The staff at the front desk was not fluent in English, which made it very challenging to communicate with them regarding the hotel’s deposit fee.

My stay in this hotel was great! The staff is very nice, there are 2 restaurants and 2 bar at the hotel, the location is good, breakfast was fantastic. The room was new, clean and comfortable. This is a very good for money hotel. I enjoyed my stay here.

Very good

The hotel was very near Wangfujing and many other popular sightseeing places. Hotel was modern, clean and rooms were clean and properly maintained. Breakfast was good with some daily live station of handmake pau and noodles. Laundry was fast to returned by evening when sent in the morning. Approachable and friendly staff. Cost
