The history of the hotel is nice. The lobby is welcoming and has nice coffee spot (with 6CHF per espresso though) The room is clean and spacious. A vintage interior but good quality materials so nothing wrong with that. You can pay with Revolut credit card. Close to subway station. The top floor restaurant has a really strong smell when you walk up in the morning The windows were dirty or the blinds were down so don't expect too much from the view. The beds were hard to sleep on.

Location is great, staff super helpful. The rotating restaurant on top floor is amazing. Best Chinese buffet we've had :) The washroom shower is a bit off, water pressure is too strong and shower is too high. Room is a bit small for a 2+1 toddler family. The hotel itself doesn't have a lot of amenities like swimming pool or kids play area etc.

The hotel needs upgrading. It is somewhat worn out, bathrooms need modernization. Breakfast is good. Older hotel needed repair and upgrading.

Hair salon at level 4 is very convenient. For a tooth brush, I have to call for it.

The hotel was clean and leisurely, the staff were beautiful and pleasant. It’s located in the university district so the only nearby attraction is the zoo but that can’t be helped

Didn't have breakfast I specifically asked for a room in a quiet part of the hotel. I made this request through booking.com and the hotel approved it! Then they put me on the 5th floor, where drilling and construction work started at 8am!

Very good breakfast with both Chinese and Western-style food, with nice city view since the buffet restaurant is on top of the building; there's chefs making noodle and Wonton soup at the breakfast Buffet. The location is very child-friendly – next to Beijing Zoo (walking distance), Paleozoological Museum of China (just walk cross the street), Beijing Planetarium (walking distance), and close to Beijing Acquarium. The metro subway station is also a couple of minutes walk. I've been returning to this hotel with my kid every time we go to Beijing. The facility is a bit old since it's a hotel with a long tradition, but it's up to it's four-star standard in general.
