Legendale Hotel Beijing

I thought there was a charming faded beauty vibe to the Legendale hotel. We got a 2 BR apartment and itwas as advertised. Breakfast was good and service was also good I thought it was further away from places than I expected. Some older building issues here and there- wet spots in the carpet and switches never where you needed it

The staff were very friendly and helpful when we had an issue with a bank card they were able to help us contact the bank and resolve the problem. They also arranged taxis on our behalf and helped us with WeChat payments that weren't working at first. The room we were given was amazing, a beautiful suite - it was huge with a very large bathroom also. The spa facilities were really good - the pool, sauna, steam room and hot and cold tubs were great. The wifi was not very reliable.

The lobby carpets were dated and had patches; it's high time to replace them or switch to a different flooring. They were doing some repairs at the entrance.

Location is very good. The lobby looks amazing. Staff is very friendly and professional. The hotel is let’s say tired. It really needs renovation. Facilities are very old and poorly maintained. Tile grout is either missing or rusty or partially there. Floor tiles are worn out. Walls have cracks in lots of places. Swimming pool is very cold, only good for nonstop swimming, but not for leisure. Hot and cold jacuzzi - tiles are covered with concrete, super old and look terrible. Showers in jacuzzi area are literally black of mold, also tiles on the floor or decorative sides have no grout at all in most of the places. The hotel really needs renovation.

The hotel makes a huge impression right from the moment you step in. We had a huge room on the 16th floor with beautiful views of the city. Everything was spotless and super clean. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Housekeeping did an excellent job every single day, changing the bedsheets and towels regularly. It’s a fantastic location for sightseeing and ideal for families with children. Having a shopping mall right next door was super convenient, and it’s very close to all the main attractions in Beijing. Highly recommended!

The concierge service was excellent. Jason in particular was very helpful. More clarity about what IS halal in the breakfast buffet. Some non-halal options were obvious, some were labeled as non-halal, however, it wasn’t clear to me whether the other non-labeled food WERE halal, so I just stayed clear. Also due to the language barrier it’s hard to ascertain from staff what’s what.

The hotel itself is beautiful The location is a few minutes walk to the train station.

The property is in need of a lot of updates

I think the price of the massage was a little expensive for the service. I was expected more for the massage.

Prime location, I rented an apartment that’s spacious and pristine. There’s a kitchen that’s equipped with basic tableware perfect for short stay. Housekeeping takes care of everything. The swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi were a plus to keep us recharged from exhaustion of city walks. We also used the gym. The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend the hotel.

Very comfortable, rustic. It’s aiming to be a 5 star hotel. Then one does not expect wear and tear l(most clearly large stains throughout public area carpets. Also would have liked 24/7 gym rather than 6:30-22:30.

Legendale is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed! And this is coming from someone traveling overseas at least once a month, so my sample space is quite big. First, it has a unique design with spacious rooms and aesthetic look and we really enjoyed the ambience. Rooms were spacious with big beds and bathrooms. We did our check in quickly, tho had to wait a little for one of the rooms to be prepared. FYI, they “hold” 2000RMB as deposit for the minibar to be returned upon check out. We dropped by the concierge multiple times during our stay to ask questions about Beijing and Great Wall. Not all staff speaks English but there is always someone who does including a foreign staff and Chinese staff. They were always very helpful. Great Wall was closed for 2 days and as soon as it was opened; they called us and arranged a car for us to visit the Great Wall. We paid 800RMB for a very comfortable round trip with a nice car, very kind and helpful driver and smooth ride. It’s more expensive than a DiDi ride or probably some other bookings, but it was very convenient and smooth. Driver also helped us buy cable car tickets and with the shuttle service. He was very kind and helpful. Highly recommended! The only downside is, Concierge asked us to pay in cash, not Alipay or CC. And nobody uses cash in China. ?‍♀️ Cleaning was TOP NOTCH! Hotel was spotless! Also, there was always someone by the elevators or in the entrance to help you around with your ride, luggage, stuff etc. The only issue is, cards don’t work on elevators on both sides. So you will have to wait a bit if the elevators on the side not working with your card is on floor 1 while the one your card works is not. So that elevator will keep opening until somebody calls it and you will wait. Tbh, it does not make any sense but it’s what it is. Lastly, we did not have breakfast since we either left the hotel too early or slept. So can not comment on that. Nothing! The only issue might be the smell in room 1418. There was a heavy smell of mold in the room but we forgot to inform the reception since we left very early for the most part and came back to the hotel only to sleep late in the night. A/C was dripping, so that was probably the cause.

Central location, room (suite) was comfortable and had a nice fridge and bathroom. Breakfast was nice. Property felt dated. Interior stains on carpet, lobby bathrooms were needing of large upgrades, etc.

Great location, just minutes walking from forbidden city, friendly staff, absolutely great breakfast, spacious room, comfortable beds, very clean. Very happy with the place

The hotel is well equipped, clean and cosy. The staff is amazing. Airport transfer is spot on.
