The location is great, the staff was very kind and the breakfast was good! The place is also nicely decorated. We stayed in a family room and the toilet area was divided by glass, there was a curtain, but it was still a bit uncomfortable. Also, the shower wet all the toilet, because the space was not so big and there were no divisions between the rest of the toilet and the shower.

I was sick at midnight after I arrived hotel. And the staff was really helpful and accompanied with me whole night and took care of me in the hospital (500 meters away from the hotel). I really appreciate the staff and their kindness. I can say this is one of the unforgettable memories in my life.

The subway station is about 10-15min walk from the hotel. For us it was still manageable, considering there were a few interesting spots to visit. The front desk staff need more training. Most of them can't communicate in English at all and they wouldn't put more efforts to try and use translation apps. We asked once if they could knock on the door and asked my mom (only speaks English) if she'd like the porridge that the hotel provided every night. The staff didn't bother asking but just left them outside her door. She didn't know until the second day when the cleaner came. The cleaner didn't speak English too but she tried to take care of the guests. Even when we (Chinese native) asked for help in Chinese, they couldn't get our point, and we had to explain more.

Room was very comfortable. Air conditioning (while tricky to decode) worked very well. Staff were super friendly! They even helped us book stuff like Tienanmen Square. Location was ideal, tucked away in a quiet residential area with some lovely independent shops/restaurants nearby. Also Confucius School and Temple within 10 mins walk. While the listing promises free laundry, not it's large laundry only (t-shirts, trousers etc). Socks and unmentionables will not be washed. Other than that, I can't fault the place!

Should not be advertised as soundproof at all. The glass bathroom is very weird.

The position, the breakfast, the comfort of the rooms. Our kids loved the videogame set in the lobby... Nothing that we did not like.

Great place to stay. I liked living in hutong, not at all difficult to find, felt very safe even at night. Close to several great places to visit (Lama temple and Confucius temple). There are good fruit shops and restaurants in the streets nearby. Close to several metro stations, including one that has direct airport line. Room comfortable, including very nice free toiletries, tea set, water every day, even some snacks. Tasty breakfast. Communication with staff only through translation app. Taxi would not take me direct to the hotel (narrow hutong street), so might be a bit difficult for people with a lot of heavy luggage or special mobility needs.

Very convenient location with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The hotel is great value for money and has a warm, old-time feel. My husband had his birthday during our stay and the hotel staff even gifted us an entire cake! Very thoughtful. The buffet breakfast was also very generous and delicious. You can pay for the breakfast on the day however, next time we will include it in our booking. The communication was confusing and unclear at times as the staff didn't speak alot of English. The buffet breakfast wasn't included in our booking however, we were invited to the breakfast during the first morning of our stay. We only found out the following morning that we have to pay for the breakfast however, we still don't understand why we were allowed to eat the first morning.

The staffs are so nice and warm,I forgot sth in the hotel and they sent me to my new hotel personally,which is so nice! Living in the old Chinese huton and immerse yourself in the old Beijing atmosphere! 15 mins walk to the metro station,there is a bar out side the hotel,so it could be a little bit noisy during night.

The service was good and the decorations were nice. The rooms are very small. With 2 big luggages, we could almost not walk in the rooms. Shower, toilet and sink are all in the same small room. After shower, everything was wet. It is not very convenient.

The location is super, close to 2 tube stations and you can find loads of restaurants and bars around. The room was clean and quiet overall and the staff was more than helpful! I left a t-shirt in the room, which they found and sent to me nicely for free! The air conditioner was a bit noisy but fine to me.
