Everything about this place was great. The location is excellent, and the room was clean. The staff of the hotel was so helpful and kind. Definitely recommended!

The location is super convenient, lots of restaurants in a walking distance. The place is nice, clean. Not all the staff speaks English. The bed was a bit small for me as I am a tall person.

Location, location, location. The staff are very polite and helpful Everything . I don't know where to start. The place is dated, old towels, etc.

The location is good for tourists. The property is a few minutes' walk from two subway stations on different lines, so it is convenient to reach Beijing zoo, Lama Temple and other landmarks of the city. Tiananmen square is reachable by foot. There are numerous eating joints nearby, and also a supermarket. There are also two vegetarian/vegan restaurants within walking distance from the hotel, which was really good for me. The property, with its decorations inside, has a traditional feel. Bruce at the front desk was really helpful; he suggested that I download the A-map and also gave me tips to reach different destinations using the subway. It was a good stay overall. There is no doormat when you come out of the shower. I was told that guests do use a towel as the doormat, which was not really to my taste. Also, the wastebasket in the wash area and toilet was open (meaning, it had no cover). Since the washroom is small, water does get sprayed into the wastebasket no matter what; you can understand the consequences! These two minor issues can be attended to, for a better stay.

The location of the hotel was great as it was close to the big locations and the staff and the service was friendly and very nice. The wifi required a phone number when I tried to connect using my phone which I did not like. The bathroom was small and tightly packed.

location and helpful staff. It's good value so my expectations wasn't unreasonable.

Very close to Tiananmen, good value for money, nice courtyard area. A little musty, needs renovation some things are not in good condition, no sound proofing - loud groups talking outside woke us up a few times. WiFi was only available near the reception

Excellent location, very easy.

Everything! Price was a little too much.
-
The bed was incredibly hard and room smelled like cigarettes/found ashes on the bedding

Friendly staff, beautiful Chinese-style views, perfect location. 7 minutes to the metro station and 7 minutes to the bus stop. Bright tourist streets are nearby. But the hotel is quiet. The hotel sent me a private message with directions on how to get from the airport. Non

Good location near by Qianmen Street not far from subway, comfy bed.
-
Air quality wasn’t great; and no facilities like gym, etc.
-
It was dirty and had bad smell.

Location is fantastic, couldn't have picked a better spot. Already on the line to Beijing West Station if you're planning on taking a train out from Beijing. Right in the middle of a bunch of good food and touristy things to do. Walkable to major attractions. The atmosphere and vibe of the place is charming. Good service from the staff. The room itself is meh but it does the job. Wifi is okay, not the greatest. However it's a good value considering the location.

Great location, clean, convenient check in/check out

Great location. Historical place, entrance is heart warming.

This hotel was "good enough" for a budget hotel. It was a bit rundown, but in an excellent location and quaint. The Didi app didnt work as the hotel is in a no go zone for taxis to pick up/drop off, but the staff accomodated. The room I had was not conducive to a shower as the water ran over the entire bathroom floor and into the entry creating a huge mess. The staff did not speak English well, but were very friendly and accomodating.

The location is good for being close to the Forbidden city and the neighborhood is charming as is the hotel building. It was rather tired and run down and not as sparkly as it looks in the pictures. My room was tiny. The desk staff were not particularly friendly.

The location is phenomenal, the vibe is also nice, but it’s needing better care The room was extremely dirty, the shower was broken and I had to request to be changed
