Regina Experimental Biarritz
About Regina Experimental Biarritz
Standing on a cliff facing the ocean, the Regina Experimental overlooks the bay of Biarritz. Its large preserved volumes have been cleverly mixed with local inspirations by interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon: neo-Basque architecture, Art Deco, or the art of living by the sea. Accessible from open halls on the atrium, the seventy-two white, blue, dark green and Basque red rooms face the ocean or the Biarritz golf course. The vast hotel restaurant and its large terrace facing the ocean welcome Frenchie Biarritz, a creative brasserie rooted in the beautiful Basque culinary culture. The spa treatments are inspired by the power of the Alps with Susanne Kaufmann products combined with Alaena, the emblematic brand of this oceanic region.

Management upgraded us twice. At check in and when power to our unit failed. Property was well maintained and the views were amazing ! Same as above

Location was away from the city center but in walking distance. The Bell eloquent building was recently renovated and very beautiful. Dinner at Frenchies was divine! Rooms were very comfy.

The location, that we could have meals there if we wanted to. That they cleaned every day and put fresh bottles of water out and came by in the afternoon to see if we needed anything and brought chocolates with them. We had the most amazing driver from the train set up for us by the hotel, and completely yoga while we were there too! And we were right across the street from the lighthouse and beautiful views! Nothing

Amazing view from the room, cosy atrium for rainy days, good breakfast and great service. Loved the design.

The breakfast was delicious. The room was advertised as an ocean room I couldn’t keep the blinds open becuase everyone would see me walking by there’s no privacy which means there’s no point in paying that price. The room for that kind of price is tiny. The staff at the spa weren’t respectful, she also wasn’t interested in helping I wanted a service done and I was told there was a time slot she said I could let her know later and when I came back she said it was fully booked but whenever I went down there the rooms were empty and open. There’s also no access to the facilities at night which is when I want to relax in a sauna for example. She was really rude and didn’t want me to try the samples- she said the products were only available in biarritz which wasn’t true. So I bought one thing and then simply bought the rest I liked elsewhere

The reality did not match the expectations set by the photos we saw during booking

Unprofessional staff, barely speaks English, with little to none at all knowledge of their jobs. Beautifully renovated hotel without consideration for guest's comfort. One mile long walk to the old town. Horrible food in the restaurant.

Fantastic buffet breakfast with homemade granolas, yogurts, pastries, eggs, etc. Espresso drinks made to order. Very friendly staff! More extensive room service food options

The overall design of the place, it's location - this is great!. The personal is nice in general, very friendly.. Breakfast is ok, normal. Nothing special. I was traveling alone and I book a single room. On the photos it was a room with a view to the ocean.. So I said, I will treat myself with a great room in a design hotel for one night.. And as a single person I was put in the corner room on the ground floor with the view to a parking.. I honestly feel so bad.. it is like my vacation was stole from me.. The design of the room is nice, but then you come close to the window and you see a parking with dirty cars.. When you expected the view to the ocean.. I am know quite well that they have single rooms with the view. I think it's unfaire to charge that much for a room with a parking view.. They checked in my laugege without me.. didn't ask if I like the room. And all my questions and comments about the room were ignored.. I honestly think it's unfair.. Because for the same price or even less you can get very nice hotels closer to the center of the city with amazing view! The night before I stayed in another hotel near the market and they upgrated me to amazing room where i saw ocean.. I was absolutely disappointed moving to Regina for this special night - it was ruined for me. And this is off season, not during school holidays and in the middle of a week..
