    The ice maker in the refrigerator produced little ice; the ice machine in the laundry room did not work. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

    The outside of the property was nice but the inside needs updating. Our room had old worn carpet that was torn and coming up at the door. The bathtub was stained. The bathroom fan was making loud noises and was dirty. The bathroom door needed to be wiped down. The couch in the room looked dirty. If they would do some basic updating it would be much better.

    Perfectly adequate for a low budget family vacation. Breakfast area was clean and well managed.

    The shower was terrible. We would not use it. There was red fungus in the tub. Disgusting. The glasses looked like they were never washed and put in the cub board.

    The hotel room was found to be exceptionally clean, which was very much appreciated. However, there was a persistent odor of cigarette smoke present. This smell detracted from the otherwise pleasant cleanliness of the space. It is hoped that future guests will experience a more neutral scent. Despite this, the overall condition of the room was satisfactory. Plus didn't really like the 100 dollars for incidentals that hasn't dropped off our account yet.

    I would give this hotel 0 stars if that were an option. I booked this hotel well in advance through Booking.com. I selected the "pay at the property" option and reserved two rooms for my family of 10, including four children. Even though I planned to pay at the hotel, I was still required to provide a credit card when making the reservation in case of a no-show. Before leaving for our trip, I checked Booking.com to confirm that our reservation was still active. After a long day of traveling, we arrived at the hotel around 11:10 PM, exhausted and ready to get some sleep before continuing our trip the next day. When we walked into the lobby, the front desk employee immediately asked if we were at the wrong hotel. I told her we were at the correct location. She then informed me that there were no reservations available for the night. I pulled up my Booking.com confirmation and showed it to her. After looking up my name, she told me that the General Manager had canceled our reservation because they claimed there was no card on file. As a result, at nearly 11:30 PM, my family of 10 had to search Birmingham for another place to stay. We ended up paying an additional $200 and needed to book three rooms instead of the two rooms we had originally reserved. The next morning, I checked my voicemail and spam folder and found that the hotel had attempted to contact me while I was traveling. Unfortunately, the call and voicemail were filtered into spam, so my phone never rang. I do not think it is reasonable for a hotel to cancel confirmed reservations on the day of arrival simply because they could not reach a guest by phone. I had already provided a card when booking, and I had not canceled my reservation before the cancellation deadline. That should have indicated that I fully intended to arrive. This experience left my family stranded late at night and caused us significant inconvenience and additional expense. They gave my rooms away to people who walked in and needed a room

    when I first checked in the microwave & fridge wasn’t clean so I had to clean it up. The room wasn’t bad at. Breakfast was from 6-8:30 which I thought ended early. Everything was going good up until i checked out on 6/1 which was my bday. I woke up & got breakfast. After that I took a nap & got up at 9 am. Checkout is not until 11 am. A younger guy knocked on my door I’m guessing to start cleaning but I told him I wasn’t done with the room yet and he said ok. So around 10 something I started taking my stuff down to my car. I came back and the younger guy was at the other end of the hall in another room. Okay cool. I made another trip downstairs to carry more of my belongings but I left my purse which had my MacBook in it and my leftover bbq I had from the day before left in the room because I was going to get that last. I came back to my room open. The younger guy was in the room across from mine but another guy was in my room going through my stuff. He was on my MacBook. I asked him what he was doing& he said he thought it was trash. How could you think a purse and computer was trash. So he said checkout is at 11 and I said I know it’s only 10:47 so I still had time. So I said lemme make sure I still have everything in my purse because I don’t trust him. I threw my food away because he went through that and I wasn’t about to eat that. When I left out he asked was I missing anything. I told the lady at the front & ig this not his 1st time. DONT stay here b/c Idk if he’s fired

    Location was convenient to family we were visiting. Breakfast was fine. Lots of little things were disappointing. The experience wasn't horrible, but some of it was just frustrating. In their defense, we didn't complain as we were there for a month and thought complaining would not be to our benefit. We did complain when there was no hot water all day. The boiler broke, and they did change our rooms, but they could have advised us instead of waiting till we spoke up.

    There were a lot of sounds made by the appliances and maybe even air unit that made it harder to rest. Also the smell in the hall was not pleasant and there were broken drawers in the room that should be replaced.
