Staff friendly. Clean. Room overpriced for what it was and the area. Looks like they increased price for local event. Room had bedside light out, shower dripped and made noise as it hit drain cover (all night) and only one chair (desk chair) in room. They charged $5 facilities maintainable fee on top of room charges. No irony there. Stayed in much nicer Marriott properties in NYC, Chicago and elsewhere for less.

Our room was bright, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast was adequate. Checking was pleasant and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. We were staying because our furnace died and our house was freezing. It didn’t get repaired as expected so on Monday night I asked if we could extend our reservation. We were told we couldn’t because it was through Booking.com. I asked if there was any other way. The clerk said the system told him our room wasn’t available for Tuesday and/or Wednesday. Since there were 4 people at breakfast that morning I knew the hotel was at least half empty and the clerk apparently didn’t like my comments and took them personally. I apologized but was shocked that he found no space available for us. He basically did nothing. I made arrangements with a different hotel and don’t plan to stay at this hotel again.

All was well with the staff. The heating only operated on high hot, even with the AC on. The sneaky $5 "facility fee" that was actually an increase in the room rate. The desk clerk said it was because we booked through booking. com, but when I extended one day that day too included the extra $5. When asked to remove it, the clerk was less than pleasant. I said we didn't use any extra service & we were too old to use gym equipment, she said it was for upkeep of the facility. The room fee should include that amount. It was a sneaky way of increasing the rate. She said she would ask to have it removed. It wasn't removed on our charge card.
