Fourwinds Lakeside Inn & Marina

Love this hidden gem of a place…walk out by the lake with your morning coffee and less than 30 min to IU to visit campus. Clean, nice staff and affordable. I really love my stays there !

The double cheeseburger was the only sandwich that was good. Menus needs to be better as well. Continental Breakfast was minimal but appreciated!

Plan to have an evening or an early morning just for yourself to immerse yourself in the beauty of lake Monroe - relaxing in the gazebo in the back of the property

The staff at the restaurant, front desk, and housekeeping were so incredibly nice and helpful as I was moving my son into college. The grounds are stunning with a wonderful feeling of relaxation. I can’t wait to stay there again.

Private beach and nice views of the lake

Ours was a short stay. We loved the location, ambience and friendly staff

The pool was closed, the marina was closed. The hotel had a mildew smell. Breakfast was a plastic wrapped danish and cereal, no coffee. There was a juice machine but was out of apple juice only had OJ. Will never stay there again, hotel is way past its prime, and current staff don't seem to care about anything but their phones!

Air conditioning was not adequate .

Rooms smelled like mildew filled with dead bugs n spiders was not clean. The deck was awful filled with bugs again. We got there and had our room changed and it was worse then the first one . It was moving in day for IU so everything was booked at 11 pm when we arrived

Beautiful property right on the lake. It has boat slips kayaks, and boat rental right on the property. A bit past its hayday, but still a pleasant stay. We will be returning.

Older hotel and a little dated, but was clean and comfortable. The staff was super friendly and the food at Windjammer was good!

I would go back if I knew I could get a balcony. It was a relaxing weekend sitting out on the patio by the Wind Jammer Grille, people watching and seeing the boats coming in and out of the marina.

Room could really use some touch ups, but it is an older hotel. It was mostly clean, tho there was some garbage behind the nightstand that had been there for a while. The rest of the property was great! Love the pool and restaurants overlooking the lake. Pool itself was very clean and I really like that you could swim into the sun or stay inside.

Also, the cover sheet was attached to the comforter which we all know doesn't get washed every stay. Makes you wonder if they go to the trouble of unzipping the sheet to change and wash every time.

The bldg needs a complete overhaul/renovation. My shower curtain had so much mold on it, it was sickening . This was corrected by staff immediately. No hair dryer in the room, one was brought to me as I was packing to leave. No pad to cover the ironing board. No phones in ANY room. All beds are doubles. And if you want to check in early, there is a $35 fee!! I asked why and was told you rent the room from 4:00-11:00 the next day! Be warned: walls are paper thin 😬🙃😜

Beach was under water, that should be posted when booking

Pool was very small and cold. Beach was underwater from so much rain. We were limited on things to do at property. Restaurant is understaffed during the week.
