Very conveniently located, the AC works very well, but it has an extra charge. The host was kind enough to give us one night for free to try out the AC :)

The host was friendly and helpful, the B&B is like 5 minutes walking from the train station and you can easily walk from there to city center. Everything were exactly like pictures. Highly recommended

Our stay at B&B Matteotti 23 started off strong. Alexandru met us at the elevator, helped with our bags. Easy, friendly check-in.. Found the room clean and tidy. The room was toasty when we arrived, but later the heat disappeared. Checked with Alexandru and he told us he turns off the heat during the day, What? This made coming back for an afternoon rest before dinner uncomfortable—you shouldn’t need a coat to relax in your room. The mornings brought lukewarm showers.. not exactly the wake-up call we were hoping for. Mentioned it to Alexandru and we were told the water temperature is kept lower. Guest comfort should really be a priority and at this price point, we expect to be comfortable. The bed, unfortunately, was the biggest challenge. It squeaked with every movement, and the linens were worn and wouldn’t stay in place, which made getting comfortable a nightly battle. Last issue, not really anything Alexandru can control but the upstairs neighbor… two of our four nights sounded like late-night furniture moving from about 10pm to midnight. Not ideal when you’re trying to recharge.

The owner Alexandru was very helpful and the room was large. Bonus' were a washing machine and dryer (if needed -drying racks), a cold water machine (with spritz) and a coffee machine that made half decent coffee. Restaurants and bars on the street were good too. About a 5min walk to the main station and 15 min to the city centre. Very good value. Shower was a little pokie but I have had far worse.

He took 13 euros in cash as tax from us, even though it wasn't written anywhere

The information about check-in has to be taken seriously. Be prepared that Bologna heats up by early summer, you may need the air conditioning already early June.

Really close to the train station, 15-20 min walk to the historic center, bus 35 to reach Bologna Fiere very close (Sacro.Cuore), nice, helpful hosts. Cafes in front for breakfast.

Stayed for 2 nights for study purposes. The host was very gentle communicative and informative! The location is very convenient because it is literally 3 minutes away from the train station and approximately 15 minutes away from the center on foot. Services were good and exactly what you'd need for a simple stay! All in all, a worth accommodation!

Amenities were great addition, in the communal areas there was washing machine, coffee maker, full sized fridge and freezer.

The location is good - really close to the train station. The host was nice and responsive. There were only big towels, nowhere to put your toothbrush - you have to put it on the sink. The water pressure was really bad - the hot water lasted for only 5 minutes. The check-out was at 09:00 am which is very early and not very convenient.

too cold in space / heat not working properly

We booked the room for one night and after reading some comments about not being heated properly, I contacted the owner and asked him to provide a nice and warm room. He told us about the restrictions limitations from the municipality and did it by writing back to me with capital letters and asking not to disturb him but only when arriving. Fortunately, when we got there, the room had the right temperature and the owner was polite. Maybe he had a bad day when he wrote to me! In the end, he seemed to be quite a nice guy and ready to help! The room is exactly as shown in the photos. For 55€ for one night is a reasonable price for what it offers if you are not too fussy. You get what you pay for! There is nothing I did not like. I was offered what it was shown on the websitre. It doesn't have a kitchen but I knew this.
