B&B San Vitale

breakfast was labelled as "superior breakfast". It turned out to be just pre-packed breads and croissants. very low standard. bed was uncomfortable(saggy bed) and squeezy. The room was very small: just a bed and 20-30 cm in each direction to the wall. Given the price of the accomodation and the misleading description (Deluxe Double Room with Private Bathroom) this is not acceptable. Room is just too small (maybe 8-10 m^2). Hence, no space for a table -> not possible to work there. shower gels/ shampoo came in prepacked plastic bags. however not enough for the whole week. room was made once during a whole week. Airconditioning is not strong enough to remove the humidity. the location is not the one that was indicated on booking.com, so I arrived first at the wrong place, this should be communicated in advance.

The room was comfortable, the bathroom clean and modern. Good wifi. In walking distance of the center of Bologna Host Denis is very friendly and helpfull (and talks good English) He gave us a tip for a nearby (600m) trattoria : 'da Vito'. It was one of the best dinners we had during our 2 weeks Italy trip. Best to make a reservation there, it's a busy place. This is not a negative point, but something to hold in mind : we had to endure the intense (hectic) traffic of Bologna to get there. We payed the host for a reserved parking place in a covered garage (20€/day) which was a good thing, because finding a public parking place in the streets nearby is nearly impossible.

Exceptional

Denno is really helpful & friendly. Went out of his way to welcome us, & make us feel at home. Didn’t like the area, & the setting/location of the B & B. More like a university hall of residence, so not our thing. This was our personal taste, of course. Good distance from the centre, however, we felt the area was run down, & lacked atmosphere.

I didn't like the high prices of Bologna, I have been very surprised by the increase of prices in accommodations since the increase in tourism. It's not just this place, there are no fair priced accommodations and they increase even more during expositions prices double.

Host was really lovely, very communicative and couldn't be more helpful. Flat was brilliant and nice surprise to have access to a balcony! Great facilities as well. Location was slightly different than expected, I would advise not to Google by the name as on Google map is 10 mins closer to city centre than in reality. But host very helpful in letting us know exactly where it was, and location is still very close to centre and bus links.

Exceptional

The host was very nice and gave instructions how to find the place (although only in Italian, had to use Google translate). There is a problem with the address: On Booking when you click on "show on map" it is located on Viale Giambattista Ercolani 1 (same as in Google Maps), but really, the address is Piazza La Veneta 3, as is written in the description, which is further outside of the city, and it was really difficult to find, since the obvious location on maps is wrong. Apart from that, the room is small, there were stains on the bed cover, and the bed was really squeeky. No real privacy, since the kitchen provides space for max. 2 people at once, but is shared for all 3 rooms. Also the balcony is shared between rooms. Breakfast consisted of pre-packed snacks, joghurt and coffee.

nice, new & clean accommodation, good coffee, good location- city centre 15min walk or you can use public transport which is few meter far You have to use google translate to translate to italian in chat, without it we didn´t get response back. When I called him, only italian. Son which came with keys was really friendly and he spoke english really well

Great location. Nice breakfast. Comfortable room. Two balconies!!! And last, but not least, Antonio was very nice.

Location good, lots of basic breakfast available and coffee etc. Nice big room and lovely bathroom. Good price. It was complicated to meet them - there was no prior communication on the meeting point which I assumed wouldn't be too difficult. I emailed on the day to confirm my arrival time (which i had already done) and then later got an email (which I didn't see, perhaps they could have whatsapped) saying to meet at a point (that was not where it said online) but to text 30 mins before arrival. They said they would be there in 5 minutes, and we ended up waiting for nearly 20 in the hot sun. It was just something that was unexpected and shouldn't have happened this way, as I told them we would arrive at 3pm.
