Booking.com number 4439399656- pincode 0253- 2 night booking- 25.6.25 for 2 nights Here is part of the email I sent to booking.com in the night from this hovel. I cannot stay here another night - it is an industrial attic space separate from the pretty rooms advertised- accessed by what looks like a cupboard door up a steep steel loft ladder laid on board - into the deserted smelly loft. There is a window but into the internal building and the sheer drop is several metres. In the event of a fire the jump -this would be your only escape-would kill you. The woven matting flooring stinks, its musty dusty and dirty. The ceiling, in keeping with a loft space is low. I didn't sleep a wink. I have never been anxious about anything but this isolated hovel was terrifying -it is a serious fire risk and security risk for a lone traveller. and and it smells musty and bad-it is not a bedroom all those bedrooms are below on the groundfloor- i am alone up here and i am so terrified i was awake nearly all night- I had breathing difficulty from the smell and chest pain and pain down my left arm from fear of being alone in this terrifying ugly industrial space - I am a female travelling alone - i have never been so scared and felts so ill staying anywhere i was too scared to even read i kept the light on. Please release me from this terrifying hell- hole so i can move somewhere else and not die with fear here-

It was clean and quiet from the noise of the street, the room was nicely decorated and we had some oranges and mandarins to make juice in the morning. The biggest problem is that we were on the ground floor, so you could hear everything that happened in the room above us, even when the people were sneezing or moving on the bed, so some nights were totally impossible to sleep in the whole night. We didn't really get a good "breakfast" every day, we found over date croissants and bread, some days we got some yogurt, butter or milk but another time there were only cookies. We needed to pay extra for the check in because they have an 1 hour window to enter. There are some places closer to the center for the same money.

Good bed, breakfast. Really good value for the price. Recommend. 10-15min to tram stop. It's ok, but not ideal.

Jasmine was fantastic. We were very late arriving (more than expected) but her professionalism and friendliness wasn't diminished even though she had to wait much later for us than we expected. Thank you Jasmine

The welcoming host, very clean and spacious room and nice breakfast offerings. Good access to public trams

The door to the bedroom/accomodation upstairs wasn't even a door. It is a broken sliding curtain door, very loud, very broken, with visible nails sticking out of it. Don't stay here if you want your room/stuff to feel secure.

Great location, close to bus and tram, sonwas very easy to get around. Room was clean and simple breakfast was provided and kitchen to use during our stay was well supplied There was no air conditioning or fan in the room and no window to leave open at night so the room got very hot and stuffy making it difficult to sleep

Breakfast was good as the staff leave some good item, maybe could be improved with some fruit and muesli The room was too hot, we tried to chill down the temperature with the portable air conditioner but it was needed to keep the window open and it was very noisy

    Good

We were well received by the owner, and a simple beakfast was provided. Location is ok, no to central not too far. We stayed in the room at the top floor. We had no 'real door', it was a corridor plastic door that made a lot of noise and could not be completely closed. The stairs had a strange smell and, once up, there was lots of dead mosquitoes left in the ceiling without being cleaned. As we arrived and started to settle down, we noticed the room also had a smell of urine. The room had a style carpet, and it really smelled like there must have been some urine stained into the carpet. When I told the owner about the smell, she said she just uses a strong perfume and it might be that. Unfortunately, the smell was nothing like perfume. She then gave me a perfume to use to help prevent the stink. We found the bed very hard and just small pillows were provided. The shared bathroom was clean but the shower was really small. To enter to the rooms and toilets, you have to go through an office. The next morning the office was occupied and they had the door open, and since is next to the shower/toilets, you have no feeling of privacy at all. All in all, it was very disappointing and we left as soon as we could since we did not feel comfortable. Chantal seemed like a good host, so I’m sorry for having to give a bad review, but the accommodation was really not up to standard.

Upon arrival at the accommodation, we were surprised to find that our room was located behind an office space, a detail not mentioned on Booking.com. Additionally, the room was upstairs, which was also not disclosed in the listing. Our primary concern was the lack of a lock on the door. This absence of basic security meant we had to carry our valuables with us whenever we left, which was quite inconvenient. When booking a place to stay, one of the fundamental expectations is security, and unfortunately, this was not provided. Furthermore, the check-in process was not as smooth as one would hope. Although the listed check-in time was between 18:00 to 19:30, we were informed just a day prior that check-in would only be possible at 19:30 due to the host’s unavailability. After some back-and-forth communication and providing evidence of the booking details, the host agreed to the original 18:00 check-in time. In light of these issues, particularly the lack of secure room access, I cannot recommend this accommodation. Future guests should be aware of these potential inconveniences.

The property was located just north of Chartrons on a very quiet street. There was a grocery store just a five minutes walk away. The bed was very comfortable, and I liked the kitchen set up. The sliding door was a bit loud so I felt like I was disturbing the others staying downstairs.

    Superb

The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were nice. There was a nice variety of teas and good coffee. The hostess was lovely and the private patio was nice spot to relax and eat. I didn't see any fire alarms and the front main door is locked by key from the inside and outside so if there was a fire and you had to escape without a key it would be dangerous as we're were only given one key for two of us. I'm 124 kg and 6 feet 2 inches and the shower didn't fit me with the door shut. The bathrooms are shared with the upstairs room.

Nice comfortable stay in a convenient part of Bordeaux, close to public transport and the riverside. The setup is a bit unusual (back of an office), but well-kept by a very nice owner who met us for check in. Really nice cozy room and a nicely put-together DIY breakfast. I found the check-in policy very restrictive and inconvenient. It's on me that i didn't realise at booking that check in is at 6pm - but then additionally the owner texted us we can only check in at 7om. What?? That's WAY too late. Doors are extremely squeaky and the walls are thin - be prepared to hear everything from kitchen and upstairs bedroom.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The host was very accommodating as our flight arrived late at night. The included breakfast was delicious and there were so many options. Very good location, it was about a 20 minute walk to the downtown center. I would definitely stay here again! The shared bathroom was something to get used to, but it was very clean. The doors and floors are very squeaky and you can hear everything.
