Kloster Malgarten

Parking was available right in front of the entrance. The location was great, not too far from the highway to make it a detour yet definitely far enough to not be disturbed by any noise. Great value for money!

Fun experience sleeping in the real monastery that maintains the historic feeling. Nice shower. Surrounding nature was nice. The chapel was also very nice. The room was clean but other areas were a bit dusty. No reception during the weekend but the staff was kind when I called and clearly gave me directions how to get in the room. The church bell rang every 30 minutes even during the middle of the night, which can be disturbing your sleep.

Location was nice, I guess... And the building had a medieval vibe to it. Beds are hard as rock. No sound isolation; you hear everything. At least the staff was compassionate and gave me 50% of my money back when I told them I wasn't happy with my stay.

The environment is absolutely stunning and the people were very friendly. It was wonderful to have my own little room with bathroom. Small but perfectly big enough with a comfortable bed, even though i am quite heavy. Everything in the room and bathroom was clean. Overal great value for money! For me it was NOT an issue but if you take offence to a cobweb or spider on the ceiling here or there this is not the place for you. For checking in i had to call someone to come receive me, which was no problem but a bit unusual. I would advise better visible signs on the door because at first i wasn't sure i was at the right place, and had to get out of the car to go read the laminated A4 paper on the door XD

It was so neat to be able to stay at such a historic site! We were in town visiting my Opa in the hospital nearby, and it was perfect for our situation. Lots of supplies for making meals and groceries nearby! This was out of the property’s control, but because it had been raining so much the parking lot was very muddy which made it hard to carry our things out to the car

Unique experience

What a brilliant, and unique, accommodation. Staff were super friendly and put up with my dire German nicely. A real mix of visitors in this one off place. Tip top!

Fantastic building so much better than a traditional hotel. Lovely touch having breakfast products ready in the fridge. Good restaurant just round the corner. All good.
