The room was clean upon arrival and maintained throughout my stay. It’s always a relief to walk into a clean room. Staff member I interacted with were welcoming, proactive, and quick to help with any requests. The customer service here is definitely a highlight. The on-site facilities and amenities were exactly as described, which added value and comfort to the stay. The one glaring flaw in an otherwise perfect room was the bathroom door. The hinges were incredibly loud and squeaky, which is highly disruptive, especially when using the restroom in the middle of the night while others were sleeping. Furthermore, the door sticks, making a bit difficult to close. I would gladly stay here again because the hospitality and cleanliness. However, I highly recommend that maintenance takes some WD-40 and a screwdriver to those bathroom door hinges.

The overall facility was well maintained. The staff were very nice. My room smelled terrible. It was either musty or the person before me had awful body odor. I was too tired to ask for a move by the time I got back at night.

Very convenient to Lake Compounce, the stay was perfect. Staff was friendly. The cookies were amazing. It was worth the day trip.

* Thermostat doesn't seem to match the temperature set and often the room would get hot, especially at night. *Entry door to the room was slightly sticky and setting the deadbolt was not as easy as it should have been.

I love DoubleTree but this stay was not my favorite. Bar opens too late, closes too early. Showed up toward end of Breakfast time and was refused a table. Hilton Honors member. Regular DoubleTree go-er. Usually stay at DoubleTree Bristol, CT.

The restaurant was probably the main attraction but food quality was below average and yet pricey. The outdoor patio could have been another highlight but was only open on Friday and not Saturday or any other evenings The hotel is way overpriced for what you are actually getting. Also the only hotel that does not offer free coffee and charges you $5 for a cup of starbucks (!). Upon check in we discovered an empty water bottle in our bathroom from previous guests. Toilet was not fully clean and it was actually disgusting. Front desk staff was not at all friendly or attentive and had no interest in assisting you or make the stay more accommodating.

The rooms were huge!!! So great for families with kitchen and separate living room area. The bathroom was super large with double sinks and expanded mirror that covered one wall. Super comfortable place to stay.
