Hotel O Colonial Inn Brownsville Tx

I’m sorry to say this is a terrible property. Its Expedia photos make it look nice and clean but I observed a dark, dirty, hot lobby with homeless people sitting inside, a desk attendant behind security bars, and a dirty room. This property should be removed from Expedia’s inventory because it’s below Expedia’s brand standards.

Know if even ground floor have some small steep steps to climb. Its manageable. Little bit of homeless people outside but they stay outside. Overall good...especially for a night

It was clean and nice. Since we only rented to sleep at night, it served our purpose.

Several basic amenities did not work. Neither the TV nor the Wi-Fi was functioning, the air conditioner was very old and excessively noisy, and there was no hot water during my stay. The bathroom was also in poor condition. The shower and faucets are outdated, rusty, and do not work properly, making the experience uncomfortable. Another important issue is that the property does not have a parking lot. Although the staff was present, none of the problems I reported were resolved. In my opinion, this is not a hotel suitable for families. I only stayed because I arrived very late and it was the only available option at the time. Otherwise, I would have left. Unfortunately, I would never choose to stay here again, nor would I recommend it.

I've stayed in many other hotels by far this has been the worst,Room was not dirty but as soon as we arrived to the door of our room there was tiny cockroaches around the door knob and as soon as we walked in there was alot of roaches on the walls and on the bed frame poles, the only reason we stayed was because I was very tired after an early work day and almost 9 hr drive from Dallas, wasn't really able to have a good sleep because I was worried the roaches would get on me thinking there might also be bed bugs even, DO NoT Recommend!!

The bed was comfortable but there were no pillowcases. There was No working elevator so my wheelchair stayed in the lobby while I struggled with stairs and hurt my back and hip. My room 101 door was open when I arrived so I didn’t know that I’d been given the wrong key until I checked on my wheelchair in the lobby but then couldn’t get back into my room at about 5am. I called the front desk but got no answer until another guest rang a bell at about 5:30am. Then, staff opened my door but still didn’t give me the key.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!! The pictures they online on expidia are not really how the hotel looks like in real life. The hotel is really torn down it needs FIXING I had to switch rooms TWICE!!

Bed we're comfortable. 1st room wouldn't lock. 2nd room was hot and had to ask for fan. The 2 rooms that had a door in-between was broke. We had a total of 3 rooms.

Yeah the fact it was haunted to the max and they chased us for for blocks we ended up sleeping at the beach in the car that was an intense life changing experience I want my money back Google the hotel and room 101

I paid 56 bucks for the room so I kinda didn't expect that to be an amazing I prayed for decent at least

The concierge canceled my booking and instructed me to contact Hotels.com for my refund. Since then, the hotel has disputed my cancellation, claiming I stayed the night and checked out the next morning, which is patently false. Hotel O Colonial, along with Oyo, have been unhelpful and dishonest, and I'm writing this review to warn others about their deceptive business practices.

It's a little messy upstairs but where my room was was uncluttered.

El edificio no se parece en nada a las fotos, demasiado filtro, no tienen elevadores, sala de espera fea, cuartos viejos, mal olor, manchas en las paredes, la televisión no servía, te cobran $20 de depósito a pesar de que has pagado tu reservación, horrible experiencia por quererme ahorrar unos pesos

No air conditioning, broken windows, dirty room and smells bad from door, to stairway. Carpet torned. Could not even checked in. Had to go pay for another hotel. This place should never be considered livable. I request for my full refund because i could not stay there even for a night.

No parking, no ac, no lamps, has roaches, and is just generally uncomfortable to stay at.
