Cabinas Surf Side

The facilities are super old and rustic (toilet seat not attached, bathroom sink falling off the wall, super old electric stove in kitchen takes way too long). The bathroom was also not very clean when I arrived, though the rest of the room was.

The hotplate and the kettle in the kitchen did not work properly. This made cooking difficult.

The staff was really nice and helpful. I enjoyed staying there. I felt very comfortable. It's nice to have a communal kitchen. And you can walk to anywhere in Cahuita from this location. The curtain rod was barely long enough so any time I tried to open or close the curtains they would fall down and I would have to carefully put it back up. But that's a very minor thing.

The staff was good, but not very welcoming and you barely see them. But it was fine for us. The room had hot water and it was a pleasant surprise. The kitchen is good, fridges. It was quite in the bight an racoons were playing in the yard, also you can see agouti there and the cat. It is just overpriced. Could have more guests if they decrease the price. 23 us is a resonable price fir it.

The receptionist and her daughter, I think she was, were both very helpful. She responded quickly to my questions or concerns. They gave me directions and tips. I extended my stay. They laid out towels and soaps very nicely. The wifi was good. I was a little nervous about the curtain barely covering the window for privacy, but I just had to be careful.

Location, lovely and friendly staff, fair price, in a chill road, pretty close from national park, from restaurants and shops Some guests are quite loud, especially late in the evening and early morning. Noise travels easily. Conversations and everyday activities from other rooms are clearly audible, neither earplugs can help

Very quiet place. Located in the center of the village, a short walk from the beach and the entrance to the national park, and just a block from the main street with the restaurants and shops. Although I didn't need it, there is a full communal kitchen that the guests can use. Although it lacks amenities, it is very good value, making it a very good choice for a short stay. The shower had a loose stone on the floor, that accumulated water and got a bit smelly. The room was not very well lit. Very sparsely furnished, lacks shelves or drawers. Can get very hot, although it has a fan.

The shower faucet was leaking, the staff said they would fix it though and i believe them

Lovely family management. Kitchen is well equipped, convenient, but not elegant. My room was fan cooled, so if AC required, inquire.

Very quiet. Close to the beach. Close to nature. I even saw a family of small monkeys on the roof of the hotel rooms. The monkeys were harmless and friendly though. The couple are nice and friendly and their 2 small children are very well behaved. It's a family run hotel. I would stay again. Thanks The mattress was old coil springs and a little uncomfortable but i slept okay. The kitchen lacks decent/ proper utensils and cookware. The knife was not sharp. A slight modern upgrade would be great. It would not cost that much. The good thing is the private bathroom but shower only. The bad side is it's not that clean and water pressure is weak for the cold water if many other guests are all showering simultaneously. One other good thing is that it has consistent hot water. Other than that, I would still recommend staying here if you want a nice quiet budget private stay.

Room is spacious and clean. TV has a few English channel. Facilities is a bit dated. Location is convenient. There isn't really any place to hang clothes.
