Chalston Beach Resort

There is a pool table, they are not allowed to play with kids even though my kid was able to play the pool but they said management is not allowing. Nobody was playing on any pool table. They are just for show pieces. There is no welcome drink to the guest, although in small hotel and resort they provide welcome drinks to the guest in Goa. There is no event in resort for the guest.to enjoy. I booked the room 1 month early even though they give family room which is very smelly and without any view. After requesting they change it in the last corner of the resort.

We enjoyed staying at Chalston Beach Resort from the very first day till the last. The territory is superb, boasting various tropical plants and beautiful birds. The staff were always there to help whatever we needed. Cleaning is upon request, we didn't really need it every day, more like once in 2-3 days. But whenever I needed smth like extra beach towels or water or extra small pillows for kids, it was done right away. The restaurant was so good, we didn't want to explore other places. There are classic dishes, so as traditional Indian or Chinese. Live music on weekends. Breakfast is great. You can put yourself anything from the table and order smth extra like omelets or pancakes with no additional cost. Servers are really skilled and attentive. Two swimming pools, so kids had choice. Nice shop Ananas with local authentic stylish clothes and jewelry. Pretty stable and fast wi-fi all over the hotel. The beach is huge and beautiful and pretty clean, compared to some other countries like Thailand. Although sometimes you can actually see some garbage there, there are cleaning people, who go around once in a while. The sunsets are awesome ?. The owner and his family is usually there and free to talk to. It's a good thing. Today we have returned home and kids already miss the place. Hope we go back someday ?! Sometimes there are dogs on a beach, who poop right where people go into the water. That's not a very pleasant thing to look at or smell. But tides do their job... and it's not the fault of a hotel actually. It's part of life there. Also be prepared that on a beach the locals will constantly ask to make a picture with you, or just make a picture of themselves with you in a background. That's also part of holidays in India, and not the fault of a hotel.

Amazing location by the beach, lush greenery and well maintained. Staff are so accommodating and specially Salegram who was serving us in the restaurant. Good FnB choices and prices. Rooms category not all shown through booking.com. Room pricing a bit overcharged against the amenities. Pool timings should increase till late since it’s a resort and mainly leisure customer.

Lack of Clarity on Accommodation Types: The property consists of three very different types of accommodations, and this is not clear in the booking.com listing. Depending on where your room is, your experience can vary drastically. This lack of transparency, especially on platforms like Booking.com, is disappointing and, in my opinion, borders on being a scam. 2. 3 types of facilities: There’s a new and modern building, an older building that appears well-kept from the outside, and a set of serviced apartment-style units — the latter being where I was placed. This is separated by a compound wall and you feel like you are entering a different facility altogether. 3. Untrained Staff: The service is handled by untrained staff with little understanding of hospitality. This reflects in the overall experience. 4. Restaurant Experience: This was by far the most disappointing aspect. There is only one restaurant on the property — essentially a beachside shack — and it falls far below the standards expected of a 4-star property. The setup, hygiene, food quality, and service were all subpar. If hygiene and dining experience are important to you, this place will likely let you down. About the Serviced Apartment: 1. Does Not Meet 4-Star Expectations: The serviced apartments are far from 4-star quality in both comfort and amenities. 2. Poor Maintenance: The rooms were dusty and stuffy, which can be problematic, especially for guests with allergies. I was given an alternate room after complaining but it was the same experience. The rooms smelled some kind of pesticide. 3. Low-Quality Bedding: The bed was uncomfortable and of poor quality, making it difficult to get restful sleep. 4. Missing Amenities: Contrary to what was listed, the room had no refrigerator. 5. No Bathtub: There was no bathtub, which is typically standard in a 4-star setting. 6. No Elevator Access: The serviced apartment building has

This resort has its restaurant facing the sea and is the charm of this resort. Insects like Boatman and Backswimmers's infestation of the swimming pool. Could have spent more time in swimming pool but for these insects. Limited variety of breakfast. Juice from carton was too sweet.

Exceptional

Staff were friendly and helpful. They provided us with a Birthday cake and balloons. Rooms were clean, food was nice and the hotel had live entertainment. Good location. Staff on reception were not that knowledgeable when we asked about local places to eat. Overall very good value for money.

Clean, polite staff at the restaurant, took good care - beautiful view from the restaurant - best place to spend evening and morning hours. The family room has a washroom door that makes a cracking noise - quick maintenance can fix it.
