The view from our room was spectacular. We could see the whole city laid out in front of us. It was the bonus of the property in my opinion. I didn't like the extra cot provided to us in the room as it the suite was booked for 3 adults and 1 toddler. The quality of the mattress was very poor. And my son got some weird rashes of some insect bite after the stay.

The breakfast was good, the staff were all very friendly. The rooms were huge as well with a good view. I loved the rooftop bar as well, prices of food were not too expensive and they serve nice and cold draft beers, which is quite rare even at the 5-star hotels in Kolkata. The water pressure for the shower can be improved, I also find it somewhat on the colder side even when i cranked it to the max. There were a lot of mosquitoes on the rooftop bar, but that's true for anywhere in Kolkata. There is nothing else to do around the area, so if you want to head out, you really need to get a transport out.

Location and pool area are nice, staff is really friendly and helpful. The best, however, is the breakfast. It is indeed exceptional. The facilities are ok but not really what you would expect of a 4 star hotel on western standards. Doors e.g. are not insulated and look damaged, shower head is old and calcified.

Food was very good. Staff were extremely helpful, and room was very comfortable. The location was not great for a sightseeing trip - it's quite far from the centre, and not as close to the airport as we thought it would be. It's not that close to the Salt Lakes either. They didn't tell us the pool area would be closed one day for a wedding.
