Fan did not work properly so it was hot sometimes despite AC

Staying at The Samilton was a nice experience. The staff was really helpful and willing to help. The chef made a "Chilly Chicken" dish that was quite delicious. The property was in good shape and the location was great for my work trip. The breakfast menu was very simple. They need to improve on this.

Clean property. Housekeeping staff is super nice and available most of the day which was convenient for us. Stay was good. Location is premium. Many restaurants, bars and shops close by within walking distance. When we first arrived, we were given the room and it looked nothing like the pictures, it was a completely different room. Way smaller and didn’t have the same layout at all. We complained. Staff tried to say it’s the angle of the pictures and it just looks different in photos. They were trying to argue but we didn’t give in because on booking.com you cannot post pictures of rooms and not give that same room. We weren’t buying it so eventually a hotel manager had to sort it out and he ended up giving us a room that was up to par to what we originally booked. Be careful of this when you checkin. I urge you to make sure you get the room you booked or something up to par with what you booked.

Breakfast was ok. But the rooms need a lot of work. The furniture was old and obsolete. The washroom also need a lot of improvement. On the whole the rooms were not the worth you paid for. Everything

Superb location. Excellent service. Very courteous staff. Very clean. Excellent breakfast and dinner. True value for money. Room size is a bit small. Cloth hangers are too high both in the closet and bathroom.

Great location very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of lovely smiles. Makes a big difference. A little noisy but nothin a good ear plug couldn’t fix… it is India!

Location and cleanliness. I was awakened by some guests checking out early at 4:30 AM. They made so much noise, it was impossible to get back to sleep. The hotel management should ensure the passageways are kept quiet at all times. I understand its not entirely hotel management’s fault. People should have civic responsibility as well.

The rooms that I booked was superior queen. This was the most expensive available in the hotel. This room was accessible by a elevator but it was not mentioned during booking that the path from the elevator to the room would be full of construction dirt, one would have to go to another building after crossing n open verandah type area. The ongoing construction was not mentioned in the hotel details. My parents who are senior citizens stayed in these rooms. They were moved to a smaller room that night upon my mother's insistence. However , there was no refund of the money.we only received a courtesy credit of 35 $ from Booking.com. the booking com people were unable to reach the hotel folks. I was not able to reach the hotel folks due to their line being constantly engaged. They told my parents that the refund is being sent by booking com which was in reality a courtesy apology for the issues at the hotel. We will never be booking this place again.
