Considering the location and price, the rooms are very good. The food from the in-house restaurant is also quite tasty. Staff behavior is courteous and helpful.

Nothing Not exactly a hotel. It is a lodge like facility. The room was dark and dusty. Located in a narrow lane. No restaurant available in hotel. No good eateries in atleat 1 km radiis. Only chat shops & small Dabas available. Untrained local boys are employed for service. They demanded 2.5 % extra charge for payment through card. Provided 04 bread loafs and banana for breakfast. Room infested by mosquitoes. Smart TV availablw in room but only yoi tube can be played that too was not possible due to poor wi fi. Overall bad experience, felt loke a prisoner there. I cancelled room after 01 day's stay. They charged extra Rs 400 as commission of Booking.com for cancellation of 01 day's booking. If looking for a comfortable stay and clean neighbourhood, this place is a big No.

Mohar Residency is a real gem in a wonderful part of an awesome city. If you want to be able to walk the streets of India and appreciate the local population, it is well situated. The staff is friendly and the manager is a wonderful person. I make it a point to stay here whenever visiting Kolkata, especially during Durga Puja. For 3 nights or three months it is wonderful
