A place with genuine soul that seems to appreciate discerning, hard-traveling guests who understand the difference between mere expense and true character. The rooftop pool captures this perfectly, offering not just comfort, but a remarkable vantage into the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of the city itself. After long mornings exploring Kolkata’s intensity, returning to the Penthouse felt less like retreating from the city and more like remaining thoughtfully immersed within it. Its position at the top of a nondescript building speaks to its discrete allure. Discretion not for the sake of elitism, but simplicity, a gem humbly perched above the city, central to the very best Kolkata has to offer.

A stunning property in a unique setting -- fabulous! The hospitality offered by both staff and management was warm, gracious, and informative. The rooms, meals, and common spaces were top-notch. The view from the roof-top pool at sunset - unparalleled. Nothing about our stay disappointed. We wish we could have stayed longer!!!

This really is a hidden gem and a fabulous place to stay in Calcutta. Everything exceeded our expectations. It is an oasis of calm after the craziness of Calcutta. We had a huge comfortable room with terrace and a large bathroom. Our suite and the communal areas were very tastefully decorated and the views from the dining terrace and swimming pool terrace were spectacular across to the Victoria Memorial and Howrah Bridge. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It was also amazing value compared to other places we stayed in India. I cant fault anything

Very comfortable oasis of calm Breakfast was OK, but the dinner and lunch menu seemed to try too hard with overly fussy western options. A more simple lunch and dinner menu with a connection to Kolkata would have been welcome

The hotel is truly beautiful with a magnificent view on the memorial. The rooftop pool is also amazing with a view over the city and the neighbourhood. We loved being in a quiet place in the middle of the busy city The arrival in the building is a little weird. Since it's a building shared with offices and apartments you are not welcome by the hotel staff but by a security guard downstairs. Anyone can also access your floor through elevator without having to check in the hotel first and no one is there to check. It felt a bit strange. The gym is tiny and not very well equipped. At this price we expected a real gym with sauna, etc.

The views, the outside terrace, the service, the decor and the food. Hard to find and a worrying exterior but that makes the surprise of finding such a gorgeous property in such an unexpected place all the more joyous!

Great atmosphere of old India, in a perfect quality of decor and facilities. Great staff. Great place and look forward to going back again! Just the building when arriving, but then the surprise when you actually reach the floors of the facility is even bigger.

Everything. The food and beverage manager was wonderful. Felt like home when he chatted. In addition, the receptionists were friendly, well groomed, and presentable. I loved the fact that they were very coordinative and proactive at the highest order. The waiter Ashmith was very helpful in the evening. He is one gem of a person. In addition, Faisal, our breakfast server, was really good with his service, too. Kudos to the waiters, too. Overall the staff was excellent. Would recommend people to house themselves here if they want a complete Calcutta experience. There was nothing to dislike.

Location was great - very close to park street. The property is very tastefully done up. The staff are very courteous and efficient. The food is excellent. The view from the room wasnt particularly great. It opened into one of the neighbouring buildings and not the Victoria park. Also the rooms need sound proofing as the noise from vehicles on Park Street can get loud
