The hotel was clean, comfortable and very nice. Walking distance to Calgary tower, Studio Bell, saddle dome and Stephen street. I didn’t like the location as much as it was located in between two homeless shelters, therefore many homeless and drug abusers on the streets. Despite the location we were never bothered or approached and felt very safe. There are security guards at every entrance and larger stores.

The room was.clean and I had no problem asking for the extra person's extra things. The parking!! On the site it says secure parking. That was a selling point given it's located downtown near many of the drug riddled population. To park across the road in an unsecured city lot was not acceptable. Then because there is nowhere enough room to move your vehicle closer to pack your things it takes a family of three multiple trips across said road with the things you just can't risk leaving in the car. Have the city fence that lot and pay a guard to patrol. I don't need someone using my car as their backrest to defecate beside it.

The location was great but the homeless population and drugs made us feel uncomfortable.

The air conditioning didn’t work properly and it was 28 degrees Celsius when we arrived. We had difficulty getting the staff to fix it, and we had to ask several times. Also, there was only one person on the front desk so there was a wait every time we stopped there, and they didn’t answer the phone when we called. Eventually they did fix our air conditioner so we slept in a cool room.

The hotel was nice enough and rooms really sizey The hotel is situated the drug capital if Calgary. You can see druggies lying about in the streets just outside the hotel. My daughter was really scared walking around. There were gangs of drugged out people sitting all around the hotel.

Room good size Located right next to homeless and fentanyl users, felt very unsafe as soon as we stepped outside. We had trouble accessing parking on arrival, it’s down a very dodgy lane with lots of drug users, directions from receptionist were confusing, when we rang she automatically thought we knew the area giving directions using building we didn’t know, then kept talking over me when I tried to explain I had no idea what or where she was talking about. She also was not very friendly and as a family of 5 with 2 rooms she had the rooms on different floors!!! Had to really push to get 2 rooms on same floor and she was quite unhelpful at the start but warmed up. Also we bought 5 waters for $3 each and after we bought them she told us we could drink the water in the room!

The staff were lovely and friendly. The hotel itself is fine. The hotel itself was fine, but we found the surrounding area quite confronting. There was visible homelessness and we witnessed open drug use nearby, which made us feel uncomfortable. At times, the atmosphere felt quite unsettling. While this is clearly a broader issue affecting the area rather than the hotel itself, I personally wouldn’t recommend the location for families travelling with children

Breakfast was very good. Staff was great. Roons were large. We are not city people so we were taken back by the city problems and police presence.
