Le Cancalais

The location and views were great and the staff was nice enough. The restaurant is stuffy and overpriced -- a dozen oysters is 10 Euro more here than at the restaurant right next door. And when we checked in, we were asked if we wanted breakfast the next morning, with no mention of additional cost. When we went to breakfast, however, we were presented with a mediocre buffet that included fruit with obvious mold. And when we checked out, we found that breakfast was an additional 17 Euro per person! Also, the bathroom was cramped, the room included no coffee, tea, or hot water facilities, and there were only two electrical outlets for keeping our phones charged, which was helpful when the power failed briefly as we checked out.

Location is amazing. Staff is very friendly and hospitable, service was great. Room was very small.

Fabulous location with charming manager / owner (?) …. Who works daily from dawn to dusk! Excellent meal/chef ….. what’s not to like ? The Seaview rooms are obviously on the seafront - which can get a little noisy late at night as holiday-makers continue to enjoy their holiday … after you might have decided you would like to go to sleep ! Parking in Cancale is always a nightmare !!

Great views from room overlooking the bay. Friendly staff Bedrooms were in need of modernising. Room was warm so had to keep window open but loud music until late from nearby.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and very efficient. It felt like we were being welcomed back even though it was our first visit. We ate in the restaurant and our meal was amazing. Brilliant location to experience Cancale All good

Location and view The cleaningness of the room was definitely lacking, the room was very dusty in “unseen” areas (radiator, curtains, behind the wardrobe). The atrium has a fully carpeted floor which was very dusty as well. Breakfast was also more expensive than usual prices in this area.
