I loved this hotel, l lived in cangas de Onis for 4 years and always wanted to stay here but the chance never came until l was going to London and needed a place for the night, not disappointed, met by a lovely lady with a big friendly smile, warm and welcoming. Lovely clean room, one of the best showers l have ever had, slept like a baby. Sad that l had to leave before their famous breakfast but l will be back x? There was nothing not to like.

The breakfast was phenomenal! Wide selection of buffet items presented in the manner you would expect at a high end restaurant. Nothing. Loved everything and even stayed an extra day!

While the hotel’s cleanliness is a positive, the thin walls, sparse amenities, and lack of accommodation from both the hotel and Booking.com made this stay fall short. I’d advise others to confirm cancellation policies upfront, especially if travel plans are uncertain, and to be cautious when relying on Booking.com for support. I hope the hotel and platform can improve guest communication and flexibility in the future. My stay at Hotel Santa Cruz in July 2025 was disappointing due to inflexible policies and unresponsive service. The economy double room was clean and comfortable, though small, with very thin walls/doors that let in every hallway noise. Amenities were minimal—one shampoo/facewash combo, no cotton pads or other basics—and there was no in-room phone or 24/7 reception, which felt inconvenient. Due to a flight control strike in France, I couldn’t check in on July 3. I agreed to pay for that first night, understanding the room was held for me. However, I was frustrated when the hotel refused to refund or cancel the last night of my five-night booking. Travel from Onís to Asturias Airport was challenging, with limited early transport options, so I had to book a room near the airport for my final night. I felt the hotel could have easily resold my room, but when I raised this, the receptionist was dismissive, stating I agreed to the terms without further discussion or empathy. I contacted Booking.com’s customer service for help, but not only did they fail to resolve the issue, I later learned the hotel ignored their outreach as well, which made the situation even more frustrating.

Cute place at the edge of town. Convenient if you have a car. Breakfast was good. We spent 2 nights while visiting Pico De Europa Lack of a fan - had to keep the door open to get fresh air

This place is amazing!! The breakfast is magical, perfect place to stay for the night after a long long day of hiking. Everything was wonderful and the front desk lady is so kind

Very close to the town centre with its bars and restaurants. Street parking could be difficult in the high season, but easy for us in February.

The location is great and having parking is a big difference as you are in the city centre with all bars and cafes !!!

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. The hotel is close to downtown, although Cangas de Onís is small enough so that everything is within walking distance. There is no parking the hotel, and on-street parking is hit or miss. The rooms could use a bit more decoration or more modern furniture.
