This was my second time staying here for the Badlands finish. The hotel is in a perfect location right near the restaurants and parking and is just brilliant for a few nights stay. Chose to stay here again due to the great stay we had last year and the location to the finish line for the race. The corridor did tend to smell a bit of cigarette smoke but this didn’t go into the room so wasn’t a huge deal.

Loved the place - the location was right in the center of the village. The owners were also kind and welcoming. The bed was comfortable, the swimming pool was nice (and bigger than I expected, about 10 meters long and reached depth of 2m). I had a lovely stay honestly can't complain. The only downaide really is that there is no AC, so it can get a little hot in the summer. But I slept fine despite this (I visited in July).

Liked the Swimming pool (although still a bit chilly in early June). Liked the Location. The Rooms were ok, had everything you need. Great views. Our friends managed to get a room in the Hotel Real de Poqueira which was more expensive but fab rooms, fab breakfast & you can use Hostal Rural Poqueira's swimming pool. Book there if you get chance! (It's the sister hotel). Breakfast was very plain & not very sustaining, didn't start until 8am & the minibus up the mountain leaves at 8:30am (the driver actually said if we could get there by 8:15am ~ 8:20am that would be best), so it was a very rushed affair.

Perfect location. Huge pool with stunning mountain views. Room very spacious and comfortable. Excellent morning coffee. Thumbs up all round! A fan in the bedroom would be helpful during the summer months.
