The hotel was beautiful with heavy beautiful wooden doors and comfortable beds and a nice sized bathroom. The view was amazing and we had a small balcony too. The people were verrrry nice! And the cafe downstairs was lovely with good food and generous portions. The mountains are stunning and we ate very well in this town at local dinner restaurants. All was great.

In the center of the village you have access to a lovely garden with a large pool. Bars and Restaurants are close by. Friendly and helpful staff. They have a place to store bicycles.

Pépé and Paco, the twin brothers who seem to have managed Hotel Poqueira II since Capileira existed, were ever so helpful sorting out a heating problem late at night. Like the 2 faces of a hand they eat, work and move softly together . “I do go out of Capileira but I quickly ache to return home, where i was born and am likely to stay”, said Pepe. Paco showed me the fine work of a Japanese painter who lived with them for 25 years. They adorn the large restaurant of the Poqueira Meson, now closed since the pandemic. An unforgettable 2-night stay. Nothing

The location was excellent, the Hotel manager was lovely and helpful. I stayed here because I was hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains and it suited my needs perfectly. The swimming pool was not open as it was being cleaned I believe. The Hotel did mention this before I booked, however it would have made the stay better had it been in operation.

great location bed was probably 40 years old and uncomfortable. bathroom was extremely small and hard to move around in. walls were very thin and I listened to neighbours snoring all night. no electric sockets in room so couldn’t charge phone. at best a two star hotel.

great location, comfortable, good value. loved having a little balcony overlooking the street and surrounding mountains the bed wasn’t the most comfortable but it was okay. also the room was a little small.

The location was perfect, my room was small but comfortable with an ensuite bathroom which I found quite spacious, the staff was extremely helpful and very nice, nice swimming pool. All in all a great experience and a definite recommendation! Nothing that bothered me too much, maybe the smell of smoked food that entered through the window if I opened it in the evening, but like I said that did not bother me much - as it always passed away later on.

The hotel is in a perfect location (the town is tiny so that's to be expected). The room is nice and the old decor doesn't bother me, however, there are a few things to mention. I was on the ground floor and it was incredibly noisy every single night until at least 3am as the hotel is opposite a whole load of bars. I didn't get much sleep at all as it's too hot to sleep with the windows closed. As other guests have mentioned there is no AC but that wouldn't be a problem if you just have the windows open. The bed is also pretty uncomfortable! The shower cubicle is so tiny that I kept accidentally turning the tap off with my back when I was washing my hair - very annoying. In addition to this, I presume she was the owner or the head housekeeper, came banging on my door this morning to hurry me out even though I had about 30 minutes to check out time. I wasn't impressed with this - she was pretty rude. This was also annoying as I hadn't had much sleep! Finally, a guy from the hotel who I hadn't met before followed me onto my bus back to Granada telling me I hadn't paid for the 4th (extra) night when I had, but with his colleague. He asked me three times! I loved Capileira but I'm not sure I would recommend this hotel.
