One amenity I really appreciated was the complimentary concierge transportation service within five miles of the resort. It makes it very easy to get to the beach, Carlsbad Village, the Premium Outlets, and McClellan-Palomar Airport. The staff throughout the resort was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. My room was quite nice, and I especially loved the wallpaper—it gave the room a little extra flair and personality. I also really appreciated the complimentary water bottles housekeeping left in the room. The plush bathrobe was another favorite! I honestly would have bought one to take home if I had had room in my luggage. The only downside to my stay was the bed. I booked a king-size bed, but when I arrived, it was clearly a queen. I brought it to the attention of the front desk, and they stated that it was a king. However, after measuring it, it was definitely queen-sized. Thankfully, I was traveling alone, so I decided to keep the room and make the queen bed work. Despite that issue, I would absolutely stay here again. It is a beautiful, clean resort with wonderful amenities, friendly staff, and a great location close to so many things to do in Carlsbad. I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back!

I write this review with conflicting feelings. The property is very nice, well maintained, the rooms were very nice and the beds/pillows great. The problems addressed below were minor and the female manager I met while checking out (didn’t get your name, sorry) was very concerned, understanding, kind and helpful. The few problems I ran into may have been related to staffing. To start, I was put in the wrong room upon check in (although Ana at the front desk was delightful). After getting to my room the television didn’t work. Called for service but never showed. Called the next morning but after an hour and 45 minutes still no one showed. It was finally fixed later that day in my absence. There is no sundry or gift shop for little necessities and room service came in styrofoam containers and to go cups. Not the end of the world, but such a beautiful resort I expected more. I did not receive any housekeeping over the 2 nights I stayed despite the housekeeper being right next door and I let her know I was leaving for hours. I asked again later upon my return but she never came back. The pool is very nice as well and the loungers very comfortable. However, there was no service; ie: drinks/food because someone “called in sick” and was not replaced. Again, overall although I was somewhat disappointed I did enjoy the property as well as the staff I did interact with, who were very friendly and helpful. I would go back next time in Carlsbad.

Amazing stay specially if you have kids the hotel has scheduled fun activities for kids. You won’t have to pay parking to Lego land. There is access to the park it’s a seven minute walk approximately. Will be staying again in the future.

You get direct access to LEGOLAND and to the other two hotel properties amenities! There is a golf cart shuttle that will drop you off at the different properties and it runs all day.

It was amazing time lived it

Front desk staff inconsistent with pricing for adding a night. Room service: ordered $25 pasta: 1.5 hour wait, delivered ice cold, cheese like glue at 11 p.m. I called, kitchen was closed….

It looked like a nice hotel with nice decorations. However, the service didn't match the looks. First off, they couldn't find the reservation. Then, the package was ering (parking instead of free breakfast). They said sometimes Expedia reservations don't get transferred correctly. I had paid extra for a "balcony" room, but was assigned a ground floor room with what they called s patio which was a very small slab of concrete hardly fitting two chairs and a small table and when I asked for a higher floor room, they said they don't have any available. The breakfast bouchers were a constant point of stress, because each server/manager interpreted them differently and for one day, I had to pay for part of the check. Issues with dinner at their restaurant as well which caused a lot of stress. All in all, not a very pleasant stay.

When we checked in our room it wasn't ready, and had to wait close to an hour. Self-parking is inadequate for the number of guest staying at the hotel, we were constantly looking for an open space to park, sometimes at a distance from our room. The Italian Restaurant in the hotel was horrible, and wasn't close to being authentic Italian cuisine. Food was extremely salty. The hotel was very disappointing in so many ways, we will never return to this property.

Made reservations the month before my stay. I noticed that they had a late check-in time which was 4 PM. At the day of the arrival. After traveling all day we got there right at 4 PM, which is their check-in time. They told us that our room was not ready and we had to wait. An hour later I had to go back to the front desk. They kept telling me that it was not ready yet. After yelling the front desk numerous of times they told us that our room was finally ready for us, and that was two hours later. So even with a very late check in time, they still didn’t have a room ready until 6 PM. Completely unacceptable. I’ve been to one star hotels in addition to two stars three stars four stars and five stars in my life. I do not remember just one time that a hotel ever told me that my room was not ready around check-in time whether had previous reservations or not. Managers never came out to talk to us. Very unprofessional.. I would not go back nor would I recommend for anybody to go stay there.

First for the ridiculous price, room shower had hardly any water pressure. The gym at the hotel had old machines, it was small, the layout made for little room for additional types of floor workouts, the weights had only one set of lower lbs and they were old, they had no mats or bands or any other tools regular gyms have and this is supposed to be a nice hotel! There was trash all over the hotel overflowed from trash cans, the pool had trash overflowing, and the staff was very rude to me when it came to my kids being able to use the kids club activities. The ladies controlling it were rude and snotty! The front desk was rude and snotty about things that à paying guest should have automatically! I will never stay here ever again! Too expensive for what it advertises it is, more like a nice motel! Cheap and it should be considered a 3 star hotel! I would give it 2 stars for performance! Try the Westin! Or go somewhere else!

I enjoyed my stay and will be looking forward to staying here again.

Getting our car parked by the valet was incredibly hard as they generally were not there. The Westin shares staff and would leave the soleo unattended. Our car was left unlocked. The housekeeping was fine but forgot to restock coffee and drinks. Not enough towels. Almost no amenities beyond shampoo, conditioner, body wash. The bill as the end did not include a total. When I asked they said they don’t do that? Honestly, the property was aesthetically very nice and extremely family friendly. But I’d never stay again. I’ve never felt so forgotten or frustrated staying anywhere. FYI the gym at Weston shares with Solea so that was one nice thing to visit both gyms.

Our stay was absolutely great, from the staff, service, food, kids clubs activities, pool and drinks! The beds and pillows very comfortable! Also great view! Cant wait to stay there again!
