B&B La Vigna

The hosts were engaging, personable and resourceful. The breakfast was the best part of the stay. The mattress was 2 twin beds united. One side was uncomfortable and difficult to fall asleep. We mentioned it to the owner and was told it might be upside down, but nothing was done to change it. The towels were thin and rough. We were the only guests fir 5 nights.

We have been staying in "B&B"s our entire 2-week trip. This is one of only two that felt like a real, honest-to-goodness, authentic B&B where in addition to getting a great room, you get a real, authentic, home-cooked breakfast instead of a package breakfast or expresso/cappuchino from a home-kitchen machine. Highlight of the stay were out hosts, Antonio and his "mamma", Gulia. They were warm, welcoming and helpful. Gulia served a real, home-cooked breakfast with croissants, muffins, meat and cheese platter, yogurt, phenomenal scrambled eggs with bacon and toast, and cappuchino. The rooms were clean, comfortable and warm, with a sea and country view as advertised. Nice patio out back to be taken advantage of with more time and better weather than we had. Free gated parking. We will stay here next time we are in this area. Thanks, Antonio and Gulia, for everything.

The remoteness of the B&B was sublime. Extremely quiet and picturesque. 6 rooms all with their own terrace looking out to the sea. Onsite outdoor pool and garden area. La Vigna also had it's own breakfast terrace and indoor facilities if weather conditions changed. Very secure entry/exit via key fob to the B&B itself which was located off the main road on a private road. The beach one way 10mins and the town of Carovigno 5 mins the other. Antonio hosted us very well and spoke good English. He organised some flowers, wine & a cake for our anniversary. Nothing not to like. The weather wasn't the best but can't control that unfortunately.

What a gem! Beautiful rooms, gorgeous views and very quiet. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I had a problem at midnight at and they were there with a smile to help me. Thank you so much, you made my stay very comfortable! Don't hesitate, just book! Nothing

We could not have asked for better hosts, Antonio and Julia were very welcoming and offered excellent guidance for restaurants and places to visit. The breakfast was excellent. B&B La Vigna has a peaceful location and the bed was very comfortable. The shower should be updated, the shower head was in need of replacement and the shower head holder could not be locked in different positions. However, there was a plentiful flow of hot water.

B&B away from traffic and reachable only by a narrow country road. But not far from the sea and nice cities all around: very good position. Very quiet, with an ample free parking. The rooms are independent and large enough [we are a couple with a newborn]. The bathroom is also spacious. Great pool with small garden around it: it is a great plus. The strong point of the B&B -really family-run- is the kindness of the staff, always ready to help and give advice, and the excellent breakfast. Well done! The furniture and facilities in the rooms is a bit dated and should be modernized. For example, mosquito nets should be installed and the shower, which is very small and the door is not fully functional, should be improved.

The size of the B&B: small with only 7 rooms so special and customised service is given for each guest. Giulia and her son were very welcoming and helpful! The pool was super clean, very nice and relaxing after a day of visiting the region. It is closed to Carovigno village, which is not the most exciting village in the region. It is quite small. You must have a car in order to visit other places.

The B&B was very comfortable, clean and idyllic. We especially loved the romantic setting, the lovely garden, the beautifyl lighting of the garden. The host was incredibly welcoming and helpful in making sure we had a lovely stay.

Fresh eggs and fruit for breakfast in addition to traditional pastries and coffee were delicious! B&B is owned by a wonderful family. Very helpful and courteous. They provided us with cold bottled water whenever we asked, free of charge. Excellent and very reasonably priced restaurants nearby as recommended by Giulia, the owner. The location was 3 km from the sea and not waterfront. You must drive to the beach. It is not near the town and you must have a car as there is no public transportation available. The amenities in the room need to be upgraded- the bath towels are paper-thin and like sandpaper because they are dried on a clothesline. There is not a safe in the room. The Expedia website stated that there is laundry on-site and it is beachfront. In fact, we washed our clothes by hand and hung them to dry and beach is 3 km away. You can see it from the pool area, but you must drive there.

Julia and Antonio were impeccable hosts from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms were perfect for what we needed. We enjoyed some time by the pool, which was clean and peaceful. Thank you for making our visit so great! It’s about a 5 minute drive out of the town, although we knew that when we booked. You really need a car if you’re visiting, but I’m sure that this is stated on the description anyway.

The property is located in a very serene and peaceful spot! Olive trees, birds tweeting, beautiful and well maintained garden, little private terrace with the view on the sea further away... Since every room is a little building with separate entrance, you get the sense of privacy and being at home. But the home feeling is even stronger thanks to the hospitality of the owners! the breakfast was great not only because of the food, but also because of the chats with Giulia and Antonio, who were super kind and helpful with tips for restaurants, beaches nearby and things to do in the area. The location is great for exploring nearby cities by car (Lecce, Ostuni, Bari, Brindisi), but if you want to take it easy, Carovigno itself has nice restaurants short ride away from the B&B! Wifi connection wasn't very stable, but I think it was a temporary issue. More reasons to relax and disconnect :)
