The property was well cared for. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean.. The host was fantastic and the breakfast was plentiful. Parking is onsite and easy. The location makes it easy to navigate around the city with your car. Nothing, everything was as expected and more. Driving up to the gate is one car at a time road but that is normal for Italy at times and nothing new to us.

We elected to stay at this B&B, as it is near the Carrara Marble Quarries, Which, by the way, are stunning! We booked through “Get Your Guide” for our quarry tour. Check-in is carried out online before arrival (passport or other type of ID) The property is a multi level walk-up to immaculate, spacious, contemporary rooms, operated by a couple of cheerful gentlemen. We were provided with instructions to access the B&B, plus a printed form, to select what we would like for breakfast the following morning. The room was comfy & breakfast was great. Nothing.

The setting was pretty Room was spacious ,very clean and well equipped with most things you could need Tricky for transport and area doesn’t have pavements for walking , but the host very kindly gave us a lift. It would be nice to have some milk in the room for hot drinks and also butter with breakfast.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a little bit of a language barrier with one of them, but their willingness to help more than made up for any small challenges. They even bought bus tickets for us when we realized we couldn't get a cab to the train station! Super nice and caring. Also, the yard outside had a beautifully maintained lawn and the whole location was clean and comfortable. We came by train not car, so getting there was a bit of a journey. But that's really on us for using the wrong kind of transportation for this booking. If you're driving it's not a problem. The road outside felt a little unsafe for walking (not much of a sidewalk for pedestrians), but there are bus stops nearby that can take you to the city center and the train station and beach area.

Superb

Really lovely, set in an old palazzo, with a very generous breakfast selection including local specialties like budino and great coffee, fantastic, spanking-new, modern bathroom, midway between the train station and the center of town. Friendly and accommodating staff. Super clean. Like many small towns, Carrara does not have terrific public transport, and taxis are limited. If you are a walker, you can walk forty minutes from the train station to the B and B. Town is another half hour walk. Road conditions, however, are really uneven, and if it is raining . . . . There are buses to take you both to the station and into town, and they are easy to navigate, but service is, as often in Italy, limited on Saturday and worse on Sunday. (Bus comes two times an hour.) If you are traveling by train, it can be a hassle, but this has to do more with the city than the B and B.

The room is very comfortable and clean, with everything you need. The options for breakfast were wide. The garden is beautiful. It is something that we already knew but it is important to have your own car to enjoy your stay in Carrara.
