The views and the location. It’s not a 5 start property. 4 at best. The staff and service are 3. The staff while friendly and polite are disorganized and have no idea what’s going on. Breakfast is absolute chaos. The quality of food at breakfast is mediocre. The Sky Bar was very overpriced.

Location and cleanlinessp

Perfect spot with a great view. I booked a room with terrace thinking i would have a view and i had a view of nothing really so never went out. Be careful if this and be sure your terrace view is in the back of hotel facing the ocean or not worth it.

Great location, beautiful hotel with unbelievable views. The stuff especially during the breakfast buffet. Gentleman, who was mostly a host during that time, didn’t even listened to what I was saying to him. I wasn’t done with my sentence when he would move on to the next person in line. Very rude and condescending. During the buffet it was problematic to get a simple coffee refill. Stuff member would come to the table next to us and would refill just their coffee without asking any tables around if anyone else needed refill too. One time I had to go to the stuff station to do it myself after waiting for 10+ minutes. Stuff walks by people that are having breakfast without giving eye contact, like they don’t even see you or don’t want to see you to provide any attention. After the table was assigned to us, we left to get food, someone else sat at our table so we had to look for another table with plates in hand. It’s quite an unorganized mess during breakfast buffet. All this should not happen at 5 Star hotel.

View pool and location are great! Skybar view is stunning

Beautiful view Construction in progress
-
Great view and location! Truly magnificent. Construction work happening on the hotel gardens (heavy machinery), reparations happening on the hallways that left toxic glue and chemical smells in the air and made staying in the room practically impossible. Broken exhaust fan in the bathroom made the room always damp.

One front desk person was very abrupt in the way she responded to my question. Her manner was cold. During our 4 day stay, she clearly avoided me when I approached the front desk.

The beauty, the location and accommodating staff and help with our excursions. Carina was extremely helpful in setting us up with restaurants and day trips.

View, best breakfast, and location The room got a little warm at times.

The location is beautiful, the pool area is relaxing and the complimentary shuttle tuk tuk is nice. Complimentary ice cream and donuts bring distributed when lounging around the hotel were a nice surprise. This did not really feel like a 5 star hotel to me. Communication could be improved, as the shuttle was not mentioned to me at check in until I asked if there was a shuttle, and then there was no info for where to meet the shuttle to return to the hotel. When I called to ask where to go for the return shuttle, I was not picked up and needed to wait an additional 30 minutes. Then the shuttle passed me and went further than the pickup spot to park, which may be why I wasn't picked up earlier. The AC in my room was broken and I had to have maintenance there several times and was eventually provided a freestanding fan. Lastly, I would not recommend the half board dining plan. Breakfast is good but for dinner, the menu and where you can dine is very limited compared to a la carte dining. It's a good value, but you feel a bit like a second class citizen, not welcome everywhere. I also apparently neglected to book for one guest rather than two, and I'm still waiting to hear back about being credited for the additional cost of half board for an extra person. Hopefully that will get resolved quickly with booking.com's assistance.

Old, tired, and clearly past its better days. The staff would benefit from proper hospitality training. The Deputy Manager was experienced and showed genuine interest, but it takes much more than one person’s effort to justify a true 5-star status. The three pillars of a premium 5-star hotel experience were missing: 1. A warm, memorable welcome that sets the tone from arrival. 2. Personalized service — anticipating guests’ needs, understanding simple requests, and paying attention to details. 3. Consistency in execution — ensuring that every interaction, facility, and touchpoint reflects the same premium standard expected from a 5-star property

Absolutely beautiful views. Great facilities. Staff was wonderful.

INCREDIBLE staff! Always looking to please you. Breakfast was great, roof top bar amazing and I liked that you got a blanket if you got cold at night. Close to town to walk. My daughter got sick one night from eating an apparent gf meal BUT the restaurant was on it for the rest of the time we stayed and made sure all her meals were gf and custom sometimes.

What a lovely view. With attentive staff and excellent service, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to stay longer and return again. Everything was perfect.

Staff are exceptionally kind, helpful, and friendly! Beautiful view from sea-view rooms; garden view room quiet and peaceful. Complimentary tuk tuk to certain beaches/spots was very helpful. Food was delicious. No direct access to beach or trails from resort which surprised me - you have to walk on some pretty busy car roads first to get anywhere. Showers can’t close all the way so have to be very careful otherwise water gets out. I stayed in a sea view room first before moving to the garden view, and the sea-view room I was in didn’t have a desk inside the room so I had no where to try and sit and use my laptop or eat a snack (but the garden view did). With the sea view room there was a table and chair in the outdoor terrace but I didn’t always want to be outside. These things surprised me given the resort’s rating and price.
