Lovely facilities with a nice spa area and very comfortable room. The cleanliness was seriously lacking. I had to ask 3 times for the room to be vacuumed with crumbs in the middle of the room, not even in a corner. Sheets were also not changed as one would expect in a 5-star hotel. Staff promised to rectify this and to compensate but utterly failed to do so.

Almost everything One thing almost spoiled our stay. We made reservations in Marcelle. On arrival the hostess couldn’t find our reservation. Was extremely rude and suggested that I didn’t make a reservation. Very unpleasant. Later it turned out it was a mistake from the receptionist. But the restaurant was full and the hostess didn’t make any effort to solve the situation. Felt like I had to do with an angry adolescent at McDonald’s. Really unpleasant. And we were without food

Wonderful setting -luxerious and well thought throu. Beautiful park, vegetable and herb garden. No hot water upon arrivsl but fixed within two hours. Staff very nice but a bit more training required for things to run smoothly

The outside area is lovely. Pool and gardens and bar are absolutely brilliant. Little paraqueets to and fro in the trees. Delightful. The rooms really aren't what you would expect from a five star establishment. So they provide a Mac. Weird! Why? Sort of nice but not really very useful. The decor is a bit bizarre - really not up to the standards of the rest of the property. No USB charging ports. Hot water that seems to come from the moon it takes so long to arrive. Breakfast at 60+ euros for two. Five floors no lifts - pity the poor baggage porter. I think this is probably a transitionary period for the property. They are building a new hotel wing which I suspect will be exactly what is required once complete. At that point who knows what will happen to these rooms. I wouldn't be surprised to find they become staff quarters.

Our stay at Domaine de Verchant was amazing! It was my boyfriend’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it truly special. Every little detail was so thoughtful, and it felt like they genuinely cared about making the day perfect for us. The reception team was incredible, and I have to give a special shoutout to Mr. Fernando—he was so friendly and welcoming, and his kindness really stood out. The SPA was absolutely gorgeous and the perfect place to relax, and the restaurant was another highlight. The food was delicious, and the whole dining experience felt so special. If you’re looking for a place that combines luxury with amazing service, Domaine de Verchant is the one. We can’t wait to go back!

The room facilities were excellent, service in restaurant very good, breakfast excellent cafe au lait Bedding and bed first class If you want to work, an Apple desktop in the dressing room. In room bar reasonable Quiet As others have mentioned, the lights in the room take some getting used to Getting hot water in the shower was a challenge too, no directions for the hot or cold, too many knobs! Shelf above one washbasin so low that definitely for hand washing only otherwise you hit your head for example when washing teeth/face

I recently stayed at Domaine de Verchant, and it was truly one of the best experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene surroundings and the historic charm of the property. The hotel is perfectly situated just outside Montpellier, in a peaceful and quiet area, providing an ideal escape from the bustle of the city. The gardens and beautifully preserved historic buildings transport you to another century, making the entire experience magical. The mattress was absolutely heavenly – it gave me the best sleep of my life! The room was meticulously designed, combining modern comforts with timeless elegance. The staff were absolutely amazing – attentive, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making my stay unforgettable. Their hospitality added a special touch to the entire experience. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Domaine de Verchant. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, history, or luxury, this place has it all. Nothing!!!

Beautiful parking But not easy to get from car park to reception dragging bags across pebbles. Would be nice to have a valet / bag drop off service maybe . Would have been really awful if it had been raining. Just the proximity of car park to reception

Breakfast was very tasty, but not many hot options and quite expensive I thought - It's not included in the stay so you have to pay extra for it each morning, but the pastries, bread and juice options were all of good quality as well as the meats and cheeses, and the staff were wonderful! Nothing! The staff were so accommodating and friendly, the grounds and hotel itself are beautiful and the restaurants and food were amazing! My friend and I did the champagne tasting and we had a fantastic time, followed by the spa! The only downside was that the pool pictured on the photos was emptied when I visited so was un-usable which was a shame, but the infinity pool by the restaurant that overlooks the vineyard is much nicer!
