Very stylish, close to city center -

Location was very good Comfty bed

Location and price No elevator, not very clean, water in the shower was getting stuck

The location and accessibility. It was too cold in the rooms, we stayed in December and the heating is only on AC - which is noisy during the night.

Close to via Etnea, breakfast at the cafe, clean Old building and furniture, very modest, old bath

Location was perfect. Bed was little uncomfortable. Also the sofa bed my friend was sleeping on could do with update. There was big dip in the head part.

Personal and quirky interior, felt like a home. The bathroom could be a little more updated, shower was falling apart.

The Grand Tour Design Guest is perfectly located at the end of Via Etnea, right in the heart of the city. It was the ideal spot for exploring everything around us. The host was incredibly helpful, organizing both our airport transfer and a tour of Mount Etna, which made our trip so much easier. Everything about our stay was great! The only minor issue was that the walls and doors are a bit thin, so we could hear some noise from outside the room, but it wasn’t a big problem for us.

Nothing The fact that the company lied to me about my accommodation! They said it was on the second floor but it was on the 4th floor with no elevator. There was supposed to be a bathroom attached to my room. It was in the wall up a flight of stairs in an attic with no ventilation except a dirty disgusting screened window. My rooms floor was filthy. No breakfast was provided nor was there even a sink in the kitchen. There was a lot of quirky things around which was fine but they were full of dust. It was the worst place I had ever stayed in! Looked nothing like the photos and they charged me for 2 people when I was a solo traveler. I will be posting this all over the internet so people know what a scam this is!

The location and the interior. The room we were assigned had a whole other set of very narrow stairs to walk to the bathroom which was ridiculous and not mentioned anywhere. The elevator in the building was not working, so if you are coming with kids or a lot of luggage bear in mind you will have a lot of stairs to take! The bathroom was not very clean unfortunately, there was scale everywhere, which for me was awful. We were approved early check-in for the day of arrival and when we got there the host told us through whatsapp that this will not be possible and we have to wait until noon. When I asked how is this possible if we have confirmation that we can check-in at 09:00, he replied that it was just an automatic answer, which I find ridiculuous. There wasn’t much interest from the host of our stay, the communication with the guests can definitely be better. Altogether, the only good thing about the place is its location and the interior design.

Such a gorgeous and unique property. Really spacious and beautifully decorated, we loved our stay here. Excellent location with lots of really cool bars and restaurants nearby. Very communicative and helpful hosts. I wish we'd had more than 2 nights in Catania! This was one of the best places we stayed on our whole trip and would definitely recommend. Nothing!

We loved this guest house. The room was beautiful particularly the design features such as the wheels used as a chandelier. The bed was so comfortable and the location was really good. The hosts helped us to organise a trip with a guide to Etna which was a real highlight of our stay (thank you Isabelle the guide) it was easy to get to the main sights in Catania and easy to get from the station. Good location, very close to the tourist attractions and shopping street. At first we were worried about the noise but after closing the three layers of the balcony doors, the bustling noise on the street can not be heard at all. Clear instructions by the host of the guesthouse on what to do, how to check in and gives useful information about days out. Big room, cozy decorations and comfortable beds. Even has lockers to store luggage after you have checked out so you don’t need to carry lots of bags with you on your last day for only 2 euros. Buses go from the central station to the guesthouse for 3 euro or it is a 20 minute walk. We did notice quite a lot ants on the floor and on the counters of the kitchen. No air conditioning so the room became very hot. The honesty bar was not fully stocked however there are shops down the street.

Great location , near our house were bars , pubs, restaurants so at the evening after having fun it was very easy to get back home )) main attractions are near , bus stop is about 2 minute walk . I recommend this accommodation for sure What I didn’t like was bathroom , water was gathering while having bath and you had to stand in dirty water , that must be fixed , air conditioning was not working well , also if you are afraid of cats , like me be careful there were many cats in the building , suddenly one of them entered in our room from balcony .
