The staff at reception were helpful (as we had a number of issues with our room - safe didn't work, shower not hot, aircon problematic) and it was good to have use of bicycles. The room was clean and the lady who did the cleaning was very friendly - this was about the only positive thing about our room! As my husband said, the best thing about the hotel was "leaving it"!! The booking.com pictures are misleading. We did not realise that were would be no reception, restaurant or other facilities at our hotel (we had to use another hotel 5 minutes walk away). The room was small (hard to walk around the bed) with no basic amenities supplied - it did not even have a glass or mug to enable a drink of water. The towels were rough and like cardboard. Breakfast was very mediocre, but the worse thing about the breakfast was the staff. They were rude and aggressive. We arrived one day at 7.28 (breakfast technically started at 7.30) and instead of the serving staff saying politely - "please take a seat whilst we finish preparations". The man tapped at his watch irritably and then shouted at my husband for sitting at the wrong table (we didn't realise that there were allocated tables). He didn't appear to serve any purpose other than standing around staring at guests with his arms folded - certainly when I asked for more tomatoes (surely an easy thing in Italy) as the bowl was empty - he refused to get any. I would not recommend and would not stay at this hotel area. There are many, many hotels in this area - pick another one!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location close to the beach. A lot of free parking places are available nearby (free parking on the street). The bus station is also really close. An outdoor pool and rooftop jacuzzi are available at Hotel Michelangelo nearby.
