Onsen, Japanese style room with tatami and futon. Good location. About 12-15 min walk to the dock for boat rides and sporting activities. Friendly staff.

The hotel is dated -- straight out of the 1980s. While clean, it is definitely worn and showing its age. We stayed in a ryokan-style room and used the onsen, which was well-appointed and overlooked the bay. Daily fresh yukatas were provided along with fresh towels. The view from our room was beautiful, and the hotel is right on the boardwalk making an easy walk to a grocery store, some local sites, and restaurants. The proprietor was a lovely gentleman, and clearly very proud of his hotel and area -- gave us a great restaurant recommendation. Area maps provided in multiple languages proved very useful. The hotel requires guests to set up their own futons after only a quick how-to upon check-in; on the first night in particular, it would have been very helpful to have the hotel staff turn the room since we didn't really know what we were doing. A huge part of the lobby is taken up by shelves and display tables selling some brand's wellness products, which is was a bit offputting. Visiting requires a car to get to the hotel easily and to explore the Ine and Amanohashidate region.

The view from the room. The room is spacious. It is quiet. Because there are not bathroom in the room, you need take bath at the public onsen. You asked to bring room towel with you to onsen. I did but forgot to bring back with me to the room. A few hours later I realiased, went down to get them but they were gone already. Perhaps staff collected them while cleaning. I then went to front desk to ask for clean towel. He wanted to charge me extra, and I tried to explain through Google Translate I didn't lose them on purpose, the staff probably tooked it. I paid 110 EURO per night for my hotelroom and they can't even provide free towel?! I only met 2 staff during my 2 nights stay. The woman staff is polite and respectful but the younger make staff does not even made attempt for fake customer polite. None of the staff speaks a little English. The hotel was empty. It was weekdays (Monday - Wednesday). The facility is dated, has seen better days. View from the room you can get elsewhere too. This location is literally in the middle of nowhere.Public busses go only a few time during the day. Don't choose to stay here. Either stay around Miyazu or Amanohashidate station area if you can choose. I don't recommend this at all. For the expensive price and bad service, not worth it at all!!

Hotel elevator! Sensible room configuration Big space Common sense ie. having a washing basin with a hand cloth, toilet bowls with hand basin affixed We can smell smoke. Not sure if it’s from other smoking rooms OR central system but that’s annoying and we had to close the windows

We had a lovely stay at the Gran resort. The view from our room was stunning and we loved using the hotel Onsen. We felt like the staff were very helpful, in particular Takano who was very kind and gave us good recommendations. Milk in the room would be good for those who like milk tea

The staff were really nice. The location is great for exploring the area. The onsen is not tattoo friendly, and there was no shower in our room. The staff let us use the onsen after hours, which means at 11pm. Not a lot of restaurants around.
