The staff is super friendly and pleasant. The room was very clean, minimalistic. It was a Saturday night stay so the hallway was noisy at times as ppl came back to their room. But that can happen at any hotel. All in all it was a pleasant atmosphere and experience

This is not a good hotel to choose if you enjoy a comfortable stay. The rooms are cold - meaning there's no carpet on the floor, there are no tables and no chairs. There's no fridge or microwave, unless they reserve that for certain other rooms than what I had. If you plan to be out and about and don't need anything but a bed, then this college dorm set up might be perfect for you. Also, they only do valet parking. There is a parking lot right next to the hotel but it's owned by the city, so you either pay the city per day or pay the hotel, if you trust them driving your car. Lastly, if you need to leave early, they might charge you a $200 early departure fee, which is absolutely ridiculous. I chose this hotel due to the convenience to the Spectrum Center, but next time, I will stick with a classic Hyatt, Hilton or Marriott. On the brighter side, they do give you 2 tokens for free drinks at the bar, on the 13th floor. Oh, and check-in is also at the bar. Weird. The Moxy lives up to it's name with its rebellious design. It's right for someone. I just prefer a more traditional experience. Best wishes to you in your hotel search!

The only positive was the location. The valet parking was absolutely terrible. I waited an hour for the only valet to finally bring my vehicle around and was after the online app kicked me out and reset. The worst part is that the person checking me in made a point of telling me they have nothing to do with the valet service. Then why is it listed as an amenity on the website page? I will never stay here again. I will not recommend it to anyone.

Convenient downtown location. Nice sky view from the check in area. Small room-big bed. Minimalist rooms. Shower was nice, big TV, big king bed. Overall good stay for the money. Visit Vicente for awesome pastries and coffee (10 minutes away)!

Funky, cool hotel very close Spectrum arena!

Disappointing

This is a good walkable location for concerts, uptown restaurants, bars and arts district. We enjoyed the area and felt safe.

It was convenient to the Spectrum Theater which I was going to a show that night Nothing. In my opinion it is perfect

I’d consider this to be the “Red Roof” of Downtown Charlotte. Our room was not clean and the toilet seat was broken, but they were able to provide us a different room. No iron or ironing board in the room, you have to get them from the community tools area of each floor. No fridge or microwave, which should be standard these days; especially when you’re paying premium price. The night staff was a very pleasant and helpful guy. The bartenders are rude. They should provide clarity when giving you the complimentary drink chips. Originally told for any drink, but that changed when I placed an order and had to pay out of pocket.
