Check in experience was smooth. The provided laundry machines were great, however they had a rule about not using them past 10pm. The view from the balcony was great, and the inside of the room is not fully visible from the street so I could enjoy the sunset from the balcony in relative privacy.

Everyone was super helpful and was outstanding! The only thing I didn't care for was the hard beds. Coming from America, having hard beds like that is difficult to get used to when you have back issues/surgery.

My stay at the Hotel Sunset American was excellent! Every interaction with the staff was terrific. They were super kind, whether it was checking in, helping answer questions, scheduling a taxi, checking out, etc. The location was perfect. Just walk across the street and you can take a leisurely walk along the ocean. The Amercian Village is a little more than a mile walk down along the coast. If I have the opportunity to return to Okinawa, I will definitely return to the Hotel Sunset American.

I left before breakfast. I didn’t receive a receipt for the payment, so it was difficult for me to justify the expense for my work in Japan.

The location is around a 15 minute walk to Kadena AB. There is a lot of activities near the location. So many restaurants and eating location in the area. The rooms are a little small but good enough for one person. Has a lot of the amenities.

The room was clean and cozy. The view of the seawall was perfect. The location was great close to bars and restaurants.

The hotel was in a great location. I really enjoyed the restaurant in the bottom of the hotel. Staff were friendly. It was short walking distance from many other bars and restaurants as well! Great view of the ocean

Location, location, location •They are 20 steps away from the Sea Wall- awesome stretch of walking/jogging/strolling space along the shore (no beach sand front but just beautiful) • Also, great cafe/eatery connected to the hotel—a nice little spot that specializes in BBQ • Friends stationed at Kadena were maybe 15 min drive from me Room was what I needed: a bed to sleep in at night and shower. Small, boutique-ish but who’s going to spend time in the room when you are in OKINAWA! Staff was kind and helpful—needed a transformer for the outlet (silly me brought a Korean 220v cuz I didn’t think to check) and she had plenty for me to borrow. Hmmm… no completa really.

Perfect location and great for value! Free coffee and you can walk over to the water side and drink it. Very close to shops and restaurants. A short walk to American Village. Free use of washing machine also. Perfect set up for a solo traveler on a budget! Air conditioning was loud.
