Chengdu Wenjun courtyard Hotel

We like it represented the Chinese traditional building style.

Wenjun Courtyard hotel is really great. The location is perfect: walking distance to People’s park, Kuanzhai alleys and Qingyang palace. We really liked the rooms and the building itself with all the rooms overlooking the courtyard, and you can enjoy your meals or breakfast outside. Most appreciated was the welcoming and friendly staff, speaking very good English and always willing to help. We highly enjoyed our stay ❤️❤️❤️ Absolutely nothing

We stayed six nights at this hotel and it was simply perfect. The best thing about it is the staff, they do a great job all of them: from the person who greets you at the door , the person who cleans, the person who cooks and the people at the front desk. It is located in a very nice neighborhood two minutes walking distancefrom the opera house and three minutes walk from metro station in line two. The building is in really good conditions and they keep it very clean. The size of the hotel make it more personable. The rooms are comfortable and have AC. I appreciated that the toiletries they give you are dove which is very respectful for skin and hair. We had dinner at their restaurant and it is very good. I completely recommend this place. I have nothing bad to say

Location No elevator

Everything you need is a short walk away from this charming hotel- metro, restaurants, parks, banks, tea houses and temples. The hotel staff speak perfect English and are very helpful and friendly. Even the birds are ever present here! Nothing at all!

The staff are so nice and helpful. "Frank" the manager (based on the nice note on the card in my room) is doing a great job ! It is a short walk to the Kuangzhai Alley area-- a bit Disney, but actually very nice. And near the river and a nice place to walk.

The staff were a real standout, they were super helpful, I wish I had got their names so I could give them a shout out! The breakfast was really good and the courtyard was a nice place to chill in the evening time with some good food. Felt like being part of a family business. The street was also colourful and close to metro. Not a major problem but Wifi didn't work in the rooms, I'm also 6'1 (185 cm) so the bed was a little bit small for me.

The location is 2-3 minutues walking distance from Toungmein station which is 8-9 stop away from Chengdu East railway station. Very easy to commute all the way to Chengdu, Chengdu east railway station for high speed train to all the major cities and to the airport. The room was very clean and necessary amenties were replaced daily. Staffs were super helpful and they speak fluent English. And almost forgot to mention the Shufeng Yayun thetare is also 2-3 minutes walk away from the station.

The friendly and caring staff made me felt home and relaxed at Wenjun. Manager Frank and reception desk workers are all very polite and pleasant. The cleanning lady always carried a smiling face. The location is close to many parks and shops. It is an older building with old design located on a quiet street with Chinese architectural facade.

On a beautiful street - easy access to the metro and bus routes (an hour and 4¥ to reach the panda base). There is a breathtaking park a block away with lotus in bloom all of June! Food is easy to come by on the street or just off the street (a little less expensive). The line 2 takes you to so many key spots and is a 5 min walk from the hotel. * wholesale tea market * panda base * shopping center * temples and parks * thatch roof village (poet memorial) Staff were friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and they eagerly made arrangements to get us a room. Breakfast was a delicious addition with lots of options. And the bed sheets were ooooh so nice! Nothing was undesirable, there were a few areas that could be updated but it really was a comfortable and easy stay with lots of options for guests if you wanted assistance with arranging tours and entertainment.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is nice, in the old city area i think, we did not get a chance to explore a lot unfortunately since we stayed one day only. Japanese toilet!

A highlight was the breakfast—it was absolutely delicious with plenty of variety, fresh options, and something for everyone. The service throughout our stay was top-notch. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly made our stay memorable. It’s clear they love what they do, and their hard work did not go unnoticed! Friendly and helpful staff especially Juliya, Emma, Lareina, Zach, and Joey. It’s a traditional Chinese characteristic hotel so it doesn’t have an elevator but our luggages were carried to and from our room by helpful staff, always greeted by smiling staff at the entrance and the lobby. Free laundry service was great as well as breakfast. We even had one of the best meals we had in China at lunch time of delicious fish soup and kung pao chicken! When we wanted something sweet to offset Szechuan peppery taste, they ordered for us some sweets, which arrived in less than 10 minutes. Lastly, they stored our luggage after we checked out until we came back late afternoon for our flight and even gave us small parting gifts. Location was great too! Highly recommend the experience this unique hotel provides! wished they had luggage racks since there is no closet.

Very beautiful building, lovely courtyard where u can have meals, in a nice neighbourhood, very convenient location staff super friendly and helpful. I saw the height rating but it’s definitely worth the high rating! Highly recommend!
