The deluxe room with patio is smaller than I thought and is located on the fifth floor. The elevator only go up to 4th floor.

Rooms with four-poster beds have thin mattresses 2 cm thick! Replace them with modern mattresses!

Its style makes you feel in dynasty times. Good breakfast, clean place, free water bottles, excellent location, staff attention, and free hot soup at night.

location was okay. i would probably stay more central next time pretty hotel from outside. quirky good to see the temple breakfast (only chinese breakfast but not too much choice either) room outdated

It was quiet and comfortable and very unique. Having breakfast on site was a plus and the kitchen waiter was very good and helpful. ?????The nightly snacks and daily water left in the room were so nice. Free on site laundry was a big help. Breakfast ended quite early

Would have liked a little bit more variety of foods/drinks for breakfast, although it was a fairly good spread of local cuisine.

Beautiful and interesting traditional Chinese architecture A lot of stairs inside of the room, which could be a tripping hazard at night and also isn’t good for people with disabilities

The staff were very accommodating and kind. We arrived early at around 9 AM, and they kindly allowed us to check in before the usual time so we could visit the Panda Research Base. We also appreciated the assistance with our luggage and the delicious breakfast. We only stayed one night before traveling to Beijing and truly wished we could have stayed longer. The only thing inconvenience was when we were having a snack at night and suddenly a couple entered our room by mistake , it turned out to be a mix-up from the reception assigning the same room to them. Despite that, our experience was wonderful overall, and we highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to experience traditional Chinese hospitality and culture in Chengdu.

One of its kind that takes you back in time with its design that matches its Chinese historical theme. You don’t get international continental breakfast but authentic traditional Chinese breakfast. The subway in front of it is not opened yet but future guests will probably have better luck.
