Authentic, spacious and quite space. I like his kind of space, so was happy to stay here. For upgrade you could get AC room, I saw it was smaller but looked more new. The building itself is super old. Stuff is nice, some people speak good English and the guy from reception gave me very good recommendation for dosa and idli. I had superior room, which was very spacious with the fan. I also needed to open windows otherwise it was super hot. The window was directly on the mosque so I was waking up with the prayer which don’t bothered me, but if you are not morning person you should take into consideration. The location is super convenient, close to the beach, many cafe around, , shops, night shops where you can buy anything you want. You can also exchange money directly in the hotel, which makes things easier. I didn’t know at the beginning so I needed to walk half and hour to reach closest exchange.

Quiet Ac Quiet soundproofed Room. Had great sleep. Good illumination The floors could have pai mats underfoot. When the AC is put off, one can experience dust particles in room 14. Bad for aathmatics

It’s good stay you feel that aesthetic place. Staff are so good I feel nice vibe.

This is a beautiful historic property in a central location.

The stay is a rustic place with its own history and has been featured in different movies and shows. It's a great place for someone who wants to enjoy this vibe at a cheap price. There are several decent food places nearby that one can explore. You'll fall in love with the cats of the guest house. Outside of its rustic aesthetic, I would not call the stay a comfortable one. Furniture, mattress, bathroom, were all in bad shape. Mosquitoes was a bigger problem. But a good spirit and odomas can fix all that.

.cThe room was just perfect, the space, table and chair to study and other to rest . The bathroom was shared, but it was never occupied, not many rooms for the same bathroom . The space, room and bathroom was clean . The mattress was good (I don't use the pillow, I carry mine) . It is a peacefully place . Excellent rooftop to see the sunset . Staff very kind and gave me tip where to eat, use the app to call riksh . The pictures from the booking it is just like the place . I stayed more 3days to study to some tests from there becouse it was very perfect They do not give bath tower

The old palace feel, the antique furnitures and settings and a deep tranquil, all makes this a great palace. A very supportive manager and staff and excellent feel of the hotel adds to the experience. I like everything in this hotel

The place is extremely beautiful and cost effective for heritage stay. Recommended highly for writers, poets, artists and students to peaceful and creative stay ! Had a peaceful stay at Broad Lands :-) Kettle to be provided.

Location and history of the building. Staff were nice Some rooms definitely not as good as others. I was fortunate as l ended up with the best room on the premises

The booking was confirmd but they said hotel is fully booked. Very dissapointed.

It was great

It's a quiet oasis in the middle of Chennai. Great location about 10-15 min walking distance from both subway and train. Lovely old style guesthouse with charming inner courtyards and charming and friendly staff. The room was huge, with basic facilities, good WiFi connection. Bathroom needs some renovation and a new coat of paint. In the whole, I loved it there and would definitely come back.

The room was large and basically comfortable. The staff were helpful, particularly Mahendra, the man on site at night. Good location for our needs. A lovely historic building in Chennai - just in need of some maintenance. The beds (mattresses) were a bit hard, but we slept well anyway. Some issues with hot water. The property has definite charm but is in need of more maintenance.

location was fantastic. the builiding was proper heritage building. there were multiple room options. the cleanliness could have been better. the property can be better maintained. there is no place to socialize - its more like a budget hotel.
