nice room in ideal location big broken TV was a waste of space so the manager removed it for me I had to endure too much stress, instability and frustration dealing with the manager Language barrier is so strong that it causes severe misunderstandings and confusion

Dang the owner was so great! Helped us with anything we needed. The rooms are great for the price. A great budget option in Chiang Mai. I would stay again!

This is a place for real travelers! If you are someone who appreciates others people and cultures then you must stay here. The host is the greatest person i have ever met and will be coming back to bother him for much longer. The location is just close and far enough for the city going back and forth by taxi or scooter is not a pain.

The bed is slightly hard but not a problem. Recommended to have a motorbike to get around

The place is more like a homestay. The owner lives in a house right next door to the rooms. There are 6 rooms only. 3 on the ground floor. 3 on the first floor. There's a kind of communal kitchen on the ground floor with microwave, coffee and tea. The place is quiet at night and it feels like you're not in a city. I stayed there for 5 nights. Came because of the excellent ratîngs. The place is okay but wildly overrated. My room was between 12 and 14 m2. I'll let you decide whether that's spacious or not. Clean enough but could be cleaner. Furniture was old and run down. Tiny closet. It feels like no money has been invested in this place for a while. Walls are paper thin. My room was right in front of the communal kitchen which felt like no intimacy at all. Balcony is tiny Matresses are old and hard. At 21$ a night, I've stayed in much more confortable places in Chiang Mai and south east Asia in general.

Dang was eager to please and very responsive. When, after three nights of disturbances, I explained to him my inability to sleep through the noise in the common room, he solved the issue completely and I stayed another week. I’m an older traveler and my habit is to turn in about 9pm. The common room can noisy be I until after midnight. I did not find the mattress particularly comfortable.

It's really not about the hostel. But the grab app for transportation does not have the location available. I think you would have to memorize the address and put that into grab app for transportation.
