The owner, Michele was very kind and helpful. The B&B was situated in a tranquil area in Puglia. It was a great location for visiting nearby attractions and other towns nearby.

This is a stunningly beautiful, clean and welcoming bed and breakfast on the outskirts of one of the most lovely little towns in Puglia (Cisternino). My family and I felt welcomed and relaxed here and enjoyed spending time by the pool, enjoying the fresh and tasty food and even taking part in a cooking course. I worried that it might be too formal for my children but they were made to feel at-home and didn't want to leave. The reviews about the food are correct and you will enjoy fresh cakes, breads, cheese and fruit etc. each morning. We were lucky enough to enjoy dinner on our first evening and I honestly think it was one of my most memorable meals of my life. It was my 40th birthday and Michele had helped to arrange a cake and balloons. If you get the opportunity to take part in a cooking course, please do this too. We escaped the midday sun and baked focaccia and panzerotti with the kids and even got to watch Mozzarella and Buratta being made by hand. (A once in a lifetime experience!) Thank you to Michele and your family and team for welcoming us into Masseria Trullo Sovrano and a special shout out to Giovanna who we all loved! Leaving?

Excellent breakfast. Host was very kind. I was able to checkin early. I had a lunch there which I throughly enjoyed. The grounds and pool were lovely. I had to ask for the air conditioning.

The passionate care of Michele made you feel at home and welcome. Breakfast was filled with items homemade, the cooking class with melanzane polpette, home made pasta and focaccia was a great experience. The room was clean and spacious. Nothing , perhaps an espresso machine on the room since the breakfast opens at 9.00. However Michele brought me coffee every morning at 6.45 which was amazing and covered the miss of a machine. When you have kids, days start early and 9am can be a little late

The property is set in a beautiful rural ground, and very peaceful. We rented two rooms next to each other. Being Trulli, the rooms were a little dark, however, beds were comfortable, bath rooms were clean. Excellent breakfast, beautiful swimming pool and of course a superb host! We thoroughly enjoyed the stay in Masseria Trullo Sovrano. The property is conveniently located to visit main tourist sites - Cisternino, Ostuni, Alberobello, Locorotondo etc. It was extremely hot during our three nights stay, approx 38/39 degrees! We still managed to visit these towns, and chilled in the swimming pool afterwards. To off set the rural setting, we had to drive to the nearest town just to get some food, as it was impossible to walk.

The property is serene and beautiful set amongst a countryside landscape. The host, Michele provided detailed recommendations for local visits and was most helpful in every matter. The breakfasts were not only excellent but served in a garden of tranquility. (An indoor dining area was also available.). Michele also offers a dining experience for an additional charge where he prepares an outstanding presentation of regional foods as well as foods grown on the property. Michele is the perfect host, so friendly and with a splendid personality easy to engage with. Lastly, by automobile so many beautiful towns and sites can be visited in a matter of minutes so the location is perfect. The nearest town of Cisternino (less than 5 minutes away from the city center) was one of our favorite sites to visit during our stay.

The host was most helpful and gave us great insight about what to see and where to eat. The pool area was very nice and the breakfast was lovely.

Everything was perfect! The host is super friendly. Private parking, clean room, delicious breakfast (especially fresh mozzarella ♡) swimmingpool, very calm area. I really recommend the cooking classes - amazing experience :) -

Michele was very welcoming when we arrived. He gave us great tips about the region & where to eat. The property is very close to plenty villages to visit (Cisternino, Martina Franca…) - avoid Alberobello as this is too touristy, like a local Disneyland. Our room was a typical trullo - the decor could be a bit updated but overall very comfortable. The outside of the trulli and the property are very beautiful, with a nice pool and lounge area. Breakfast is local and with homemade jam and ingredients from Michele’s property. Sleeping in a trullo is an experience that you should try when visiting Puglia, but we expected a bit more luxury for the price we paid, in comparison to other properties that we’ve stayed in in the Puglia region.

definitely the best trullo ever visited, genuine breakfast, tranquility and rest

Amazing host: super friendly and helpful. Very clean rooms with a little terrace. Perfect sunbeds near the swimmingpool. Clean and cool pool. It was possible to take the fresh figs just from the treas in the garden. The breakfast is full of fresh fruits from the garden and homemade mozzarella and focaccia. Good coffee. It was high season when we visited Puglia (August) so everything was crowded (the beach, the restaurants). The host explained to us the restaurants where the locals go, where it was less full and we could pay a fair price. The stay was truly lovely and exceeded our expectations! Nothing.

Michele was always helpful and kind. The location, the swimming pool, the bedroom, everything was nice.

Beautiful oasis in the most charming area of Puglia: luxury experience with excellent price value. Free parking, lush garden, clean accommodation and quiet pool area. This gorgeous property, in authentic historical trullo style, is located on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Cisternino in Valle d’Itria, close to other enchanting towns such as Locorotondo and Alberobello (bucket-list worthy, Lonely Plant-cover style places you must visit). We spent two nights in the B&B, initially planning to ‘Dolce far niente’ as there was a heatwave with temperatures reaching over 40 degrees in Puglia. The airconditioned bed room, grapevine covered patio and outside pool were the perfect environment for this. What made the experience beat all our expectations was the hospitality of Michele. Not only did he give us the very best recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants (bombette at the local marcelleria, easy parking in the towns and best views of the valley), he also made sure we made the most of our visit by avoiding the busy and warm hours and tourist traps. Unforgettable was the fabulous dinner Michele arranged at the accommodation which we enjoyed with two other lovely guests from the B&B sitting in the garden. The breakfast is exceptional, with fresh bread, fruit and cheese (burrata and stragiatella!) from local shops, and amazing homemade cake and focaccia. We were sad to say goodbye to this beautiful place, but will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommended for couples, friends, and families looking for a relaxed and authentic accommodation in one of Italy’s most beautiful regions. Michele goes out of his way to make sure your time there is the epitome of la dolce vita.
