After 1 month in the Philippines this was definitely the worst hostel I stayed at. And it all started with the grumpy old toad of a lady that works at the place. She seemed very uninterested to have any guests there, and God forbid you check in any earlier than 3 p.m. She won't allow it. I could understand if there were actually people in this hostel with rooms that needed to be cleaned and beds they needed to change, but there's so many rooms in this place with so few people that I really find it hard to believe I was not able to check in at noon. I went out and ate, I came back at 2:57, and I said, could I check in? She stares at me, sits down, and says: "three more minutes". When I was able to check into a room the light was so dark that I needed the flashlight on my phone to actually see into my bed. Then I went to the bathroom and the toilet did not flush. Went back to my room where there were mosquitoes. I thought it was just a few, but they kept coming. An air conditioning unit was dripping right outside my window, right next to my bed, so that was nice to listen to all night. So then I went out to the garden area to sit since my room was absolutely freezing from the AC you can't change. And while I sat out in the garden area, I was attacked by more mosquitoes here in the middle of Cebu than I was in the deep jungle of Siquijor. Supposedly there's free breakfast, but when I woke up the next day I didn't see anything. Also at 10:30am, the grumpy old gate keeper was going into the rooms to tell people check out was at 11. They DEFINITELY don't want you there early and they don't want you there 1 servings too late. So do them a favor, DON'T GO THERE. I do not recommend.

Noting , I hope I didn’t bring to home cockroaches - cockroaches!!! We saw them in bathroom and they also came inside my beg and I went out in the evening in taxi !!!!? - we wanted to sleep because there is no breakfast but everyone was shouting next to room, because windows not totally close all noise go directly to your room - we arrived early, but for check in even if room is ready you have to pay half price , nonsense

I liked how its close by the airport. Bed was very comfortable and the sheets felt so soft and wonderful. Loved that we had a small fridge. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Great price too! I have to be honest here. There was mold in the shower floor and walls. The water pressure for the shower and bidet is terrible. The toliet never flushed properly. There was no bucket with cup to flush the toliet manually. Our air con... you couldn't even change the settings. Its on a constant one setting and our air con was dripping water and they put a trash can to catch the water. That could of been dangerous with water and the air con electric socket so close to each other. An earthquake could of created a fire in our room. I'm sorry, but if you have an issue with your air con.. you dont rent that room out into its fixed. You dont allow your CR to be available until its clean and the toliet flush works. Sounds like common sense to me. There is no service water at this hostel, unlike many other hostels. This place is only really good for 1-2 nights max if your traveling at the airport.

The receptionist was courteous and accommodating, and the other staff members likewise conducted themselves in a polite and professional manner. I was unable to sleep or take adequate rest immediately upon checking in due to a persistent noise coming from the area above my room. Upon inquiry with the receptionist, I was informed that some repair work was being undertaken. Such maintenance activities could have been more appropriately scheduled on days when no guests were accommodated.

Overall It's was good, Dane and Anne seems very cooperative. Their toilet flush and showers were not in proper order, Please a repair is needed.

The property is clean and the employees are nice. Aside from the mango that is free, there was no complimentary water. A cup of water is quite expensive. ??

It was a pleasant stay, both comfortable and clean, with kind and helpful personnel. The smell of fresh air in the garden while sipping coffee or eating a meal is quite calming.
