Extended Stay America Select Suites - Clearwater

We booked a room for 2 nights, couldn't get to check in until after midnight. Was told check in is at 3:00 pm and the date of booking is for tomorrow, not tonight.

This hotel has no pots or pans the room the beds are very hard back was hurting all 3 nights had 2 flat pillows had to go buy more they want even give you a 3rd pillow had no towels my mom had to beg to get 3 towels the next day was told to exchange them to get three more and was told to come back in 2 hours came back they said all the towels was gone then I sent my daughter for the towels they give her 1 I asked for corporate phone number and told them why they take my 3 towels if they wasn't going to give me 3 back she told me calling corporate wasn't going to do anything that we should buy our own towels and pots and pans and that's what the washer and dryers are for I was only there for 3 days I don't understand who's paying $8 to wash and dry laundry towels everyday then all of a sudden they came up with 2 more towels. The TV didn't work on the first day took them 20 minutes to get it to work. Staff at office was very rude save your self the headache don't go here these prices are the same as a regular hotel at least your don't have to fight for clean towels

Front desk very helpful and pleasant. Room was older with light fixtures showing rust on metal. Also had to have housekeeping come in and clean out all the dresser drawers as had mold in them,,due to humidty. Had nice size fridge and stove top electric. However, no dishes were available to use. Room floor needed mopped as we had very dirty socks walking across it. Had parking in front of room which was nice. Great area with lots of resturants nearby and shopping. Stayed there 6 days.

Room was clean although it reeked of Pine Sol. Fridge was old with rust, but worked. Bed was old as dirt and so was the mattress. I tried sleeping in the middle but mattress was so worn from two sleepers that it was like a W. The middle was high and the two sides were low.... Impossible to lay there. There were no forks, knives, cups, pots or pans. Worse yet, there was no shampoo or condition in the shower, I had to use the only bar from the sink. The room was pretty clean but extremely old and outdated. The front desk closes at 10PM and doesn't open until 10AM on weekends. Tried to call from room about shampoo but the freakin phone didn't even work. Craziness. Needless to say, I would NEVER stay here again.

The room was clean and price was ok The floor that I was on smelled like dog, the tub was clogged, the TV didn't work, and the bed wasn't the best also the water pressure was very low. I have never had an experience like this since I've been with booking.com

Location I would not recommend this property. The room was in very poor condition. The humidity inside was extremely high, making it almost impossible to stay comfortably. There was also a strong, unpleasant smell throughout the room. The overall atmosphere of the property was terrible and felt more like a run-down place than a hotel. Another major issue was that there was no one at the reception until 9:00 a.m. The front desk was completely closed, so there was no way to get assistance when it was needed. To make matters worse, the property tried to charge extra for bed linens, which was completely unreasonable. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The property did not meet even basic expectations for cleanliness, comfort, or service. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to other travelers.

The staff was rude and told me she wasn’t even sure they had availability even though my room was booked and paid for. She didn’t even check my booking at that time . The room was missing the blankets and towels and there was no cooking utensils like advertised on the website when I booked the room. Night staff was nice and was able to bring us the blankets and towels. I’ve stayed at stay America many times before in different locations and never experienced this . So I was extremely disappointed to say the least . The manager at this location needs to fix the staff issue and the lack of care in making sure the rooms have all the necessary amenities
