Howdy Hotel

The bathroom was like an apartment that was getting ready for the next tenants. Out dated room toilet was old missing the back pieces molding was painted over old microwave and refrigerator not comfortable for the price I give it a 1 star . Needs a major upgrade. Gave me more of a bates motel feel. Staff was great parking was good.

TV was not working. It was on the wrong input, so I had to change but it wasn't on remote. Called the front desk and the girl didn't know how to fix or help. After messing with the TV I found the menu button on TV. I fixed myself. I also stepped on a loose earing on the not so clean floor. The A/C was loud. Room 160 a suite.

Location. Restrooms need to be updated.

Staff was great Stephanie is the one to talk to she will make sure you love your stay and want to come back the next time your in town

The value of what I paid compared to the room I stayed in. I had several friends who paid 3 times what I paid for another hotel across the street. I had a great room. I would have liked to see fresh fruit with the complimentary breakfast.

The staff are very nice, including the maintenance man. The room was very nice and spacious especially for pricing. I have been to some low budget hotels and this room was hands down the best one. I felt safe in the area. I was in close proximity to stores, restaurants, and the stadium. Initially a pool was advertised but it is no longer there. The TV didn't work so the maintenance man had to come at night to fix it but couldn't get it to work so he had to bring another but the next day. I stayed 2 nights. Not many options for breakfast. They had hz oney buns, packet oatmeal, yogurt, orange juice, and coffee. Lady said they are just starting out so they get some grace. The housekeeper didn't clean the room that 1 day.

The check in process was super fast. The room was super clean. The beds were very comfortable. The amenities were simple and in working order. The location was perfect for our TAMU visit and close to a number of restaurants and shopping. There was nothing I did not like. There were some places in the lobby and room that could have used touch up paint, but that was expected at this price point. The pool had been filled in, which was disappointing to my grandchild.

The facility itself was fine, and the people who work there were okay. However, the people who live there, or stay there are were very off putting. It took away from an otherwise cute ambience the hotel would have had. Were these people nafarious I hope not, what I can tell you is I think someone coughed up their lung outside our door in the middle of the night. I am not a nurse, I did not consent to hear the final breaths a man takes on my door step. All jokes aside It did make it a little wierd to say the least.

It was near all the stores and restaurants It was a bit dirty when arrived saw a dead roach, the room also smelled heavy of mold and had to ask for a new room was given but the new room smelled more of mold and could not breathe

Nope. I’ll stay here again if the circumstances arise.

This hotel fits the bill if you just need a place to sleep that’s easy on the wallet.
