AMEX did not work. Issue was not resolved within the 3 night stay.

Close to the Hauptbahnhof. Good breakfast. The sink soap pump in the bathroom in Room 235 was broken and therefore not usable. The staff had not told us about where the night entrance was. We rang several times to get in when we came back at night. On finding the front door locked, we rang at the delivery door on one side of the building. At one point, a man answered, but then didn't respond after we identified ourselves on the speaker. We felt ghosted. We went to the front door, again, and rang there. After many rings, the man came out and was irritated that we'd not correctly interpreted the sign to mean that the night door was on yet the further sude of the building. We felt that if we'd been told where the night door is, upon check-in, this mutual irritation could have been avoided.

Location & staff Air conditioning didn’t work efficiently

The room we ended up in (after having to shift because of a loud buzzing aircon) was spacious and the bathroom was huge. The location was great; beside the train station and only a 10 min walk to Cologne Old Town. It was very quiet and the aircon was blissful in 38 degree temperatures. The hotel provided iced water down in Reception to help with the heat. One of the male staff on Reception was very friendly and helpful - gave us free drinks because our original room wasn't ready for 20 or so minutes at 3pm. The young woman on Reception was unhelpful and grumpy. Our changed room was a lower category than what we had paid for but because we got a free drink, she wasn't going to refund us the difference! She finally spoke to her manager (who had shifted us in the first place) and we got free breakfasts that they then tried to charge us for on leaving. The rooms aren't cleaned in any way during your stay and you have to ask for anything to be refreshed or replaced.

Staff were nice and checked us in early when we arrived Room was clean Hotel is in front of the train station, so it is very good if you are planning day trips There was no hot water in the shower, and when we told the reception, he answered, "why you haven't mentioned that when check-in?", (I am not supposed to take shower in the morning once checked-in!) So, check the hot water as it seems to be known problem. AC has only certain degree options, so it might get hotter by night so we had to increase the fan. Room was very very small. There is only one spot to open your luggage and it will prevent anyone to move in the room! We had to put the bags under the bed to save some space Room door and bathroom door are beside each other and both open inside, so the stroller always prevents them and need to be moved to open either doors! So, if you are family with a baby, this is not for you

Really close to central station and Cologne Dom. Quiet / good soundproofing, breakfast was good albeit lacked variety. Overall a good stay for the price. Could be cleaner, no mini fridge.

Price Smoking right outside entrance , both staff and clients

Cancelled the stay when we arrived. Not the quality we expected Staff was not polite, the lobby was in chaos when we arrive. The surrounding area did not seem very safe.

Location near the cathedral was ideal. Great shower, comfortable bed. Parking was very difficult. I think breakfast was to expensive

Almost everything specially the clean room and bathroom, the excellent breakfast buffet options - the location was great as well. very walkable and close to the cathedral. we were also allowed to check in at 12N at no extra charge. the room is value for money !! the homeless people sleeping a few steps away from the hotel is scary ---
