La Belle 10

Pretty centrally located, 10 minutes from the station, I had a room on 2 floors which was quite unique. It even had a sauna which I didn't use. Comfortable bed, and free water provided. No reception, but with the entry code it worked perfectly fine. There is no elevator so I had to walk up 4 floors with my luggage.

I liked everything! The design inside was fun. It had all the facilities I needed. And it was very clean. I don't know if all the rooms had the same bathroom situation, but the room I stayed in is not ideal for more than one person. For one person, it was perfect. It was small, but there was enough room for everything - even a small fridge, iron, ironing board, water kettle, table and chairs. The bed was super comfortable and it was very quiet. Everything was easy with self-check-in. I was even pleasantly surprised by the nespresso machine near the front door. It was very close to the subway station and even walkable from the main train station. I would definitely stay there again. I only have one suggestion to make the place even better: I was there on business, so I needed more than one hanger. Additionally, it would be good to provide pant hangers as well.

Everything was as described! Excellent location, very close to the city center and all the sightseeings! Very clean rooms with a very eccentric and unique decoration. Located in a quiet neighboorhood to get a good night sleep! Absolutely perfect for couples on a romantic excursion in the beautiful city of Cologne!

We had a wonderful stay. We were fortunate enough to get room 6, Josephine, and it was great. It is up few flights of stairs but definitely worth the effort. The room is clean, quiet and beautifully decorated. The bathroom is spacious, fully equipped with a shower, bathtub and sauna. The hosts were always available to promptly assist us with any questions. The hotel is located close to restaurants, the Cathedral and bars. Overall we had a very memorable stay and would definitely stay again when in Cologne.

Nothing to not like , only item that we have feedback on is the bath fills very slowly, may need looked at. This did not impact our stay though !

This hotel was beyond our expectations! Beautifully appointed and there was even a sauna in the bathroom. Recommend highly. There is no lift but it was worth the climb!

Clean. Quiet. Nice room. The elevator/lift was “not working” and the person checking us in put us on the 3rd floor and didn’t tell us the lift was broken until after she handed us our room key! We had 4 large pieces of luggage and were wearing winter coats. I am 67 and in decent shape and traveling with my 36 year old daughter for the Christmas markets. It wasn’t until I expressed my displeasure that the person checking said, I guess we could help you with your bags. A coworker reluctantly offered to help but we declined. Not a great start to a two night stay. Had the elevator been working I may have given this place a 9 or 10

The location was great. Near the Cathedral, near restaurants and shops. It do not have elevator so in case of heavy bags, just to keep this in mind, depending on your room, you will need to carry them through stairs.

Overall a very nice and cozy hotel 10 minute walk from the very center of Cologne (about two blocks from the cathedral) and still in a very quiet area, right above the Appelhofplatz tram station. Easy entry with own code and a lovely interior design. Gives off vibes of kind of an AirBnB and Hotel mix. Additional things I liked: - The small drinks/amenities "counter/bar" on the first floor with water and coffee is a suuuper nice touch. - The hotel staff are very quick to respond by phone and/or via Whatsapp. Since the hotel building itself is very small/narrow and doesn't have an elevator, the stairwell inside of it is small and narrow as well. I wasn't there with any massive luggage, but carrying a big and heavy bag up any further than the second floor would require significant hand/grip strength. There is some issue with air pressure/ventilation in the main stairwell of the building. During my stay I noticed that every time the building entrance is used the door of my room would make a loud noise as if adjusting to the pressure change in the stairwell. This is an issue when people use the main door middle of the night and I would wake up since the door is not far from the bed. There was no AC, which in itself is not bad, but staying during the summer may sometimes mean it gets quite hot inside. However the quiet location allows to keep the windows open without too much noise. Some of the rooms have the bathroom part of the same room which is not a big deal if you are staying alone, but if you are staying with another person there may be a case of too much information :)

Location! Lack of shelving in the bathroom and sewage smell from sink when toilet is flushed and moldy shower curtain.

The bathroom area was very nice and the tub was big enough for a 6‘‘ lady The only lack was the shower smelled like sewage which was a bit disgusting maybe pipes need cleaning

The rooms were very nicely decorated and comfortable. The beds were nice and the temperature was cool and comfortable. No elevator, but it is to be expected in older European buildings.

Beautiful room, well appointed. Quite central for Cologne's cathedral and the old town. Slightly strange having a curtain between bedroom and bathroom. No lift, so may be difficult for those with heavy cases.
