The GM showed no empathy nor sympathy to our situation. We reserved a room through Expedia, bc the prices were the lowest, just to hold on to it until we found something better. Expedia asked for my card info to reserve room only, clearly stating my card would not be charged, the information would be use to reserve the room. Didn’t think I had to read a cancellation policy. Another misleading factor that made me ok with using my card info, I had the choice to pay at property. Pay at property means pay in person at site. So this ensures me the card would not be charged. My card was charged first nights stay maybe 30 minutes to a hour after reserving the room. I immediately contacted staff at Econo letting them we would not be using there hotel, we decided to go to another beach all together in an entire different state. The worker I spoke to chose not to refund me my money even though I called as soon as they charged my card. She too lacked empathy and sympathy for taking the money even after knowing we weren’t going to step foot on the premises. I then called to speak to the GM the next day and he too lacked empathy and sympathy even though I explained to him I didn’t understand what pay at property meant, to me it clearly means pay in person and that made me comfortable with giving my card information. He told me his company is ok with their hotel being apart unethical practices that are misleading to customers and if I had a problem with it I should contact Expedia.

I did not stay at this property I left because I feared for my safety. People were just loitering around doors so I got my bags and left

Very friendly staff. Kind of noisy parking lot right on top of my room.

If you have dogs this is a place to stay. It's right off 501 so there's all kinds of fast food, Walmart and shopping places right by. I love the pool we made good use of it. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is some rusting on the shower rod and some cracking in the ceiling, but at the end of the day you're getting a dog friendly location close to everything so you kind of have to weigh out what matters to you. If your okay with some outdated features then this place is perfect for you. I enjoyed it and so did my dogs.

The staff in the office are consistently amazing. Having just moved to SC and looking for my place to move in, they have made my short stints with them really seamless and comfortable. ALL OF STAFF!!!

Parking was fine, my room looked dirty. The floors were dirty and the room had a very bad smell to it very stale order of cigarette smoke. It was a non-smoking room.
-
Parking was easy if you were able to get a spot. I did have trouble getting a spot close to my room, but the hotel worker on duty accommodated for me and just switched my room to a closer spot. Staff is accommodating and easy to work with. Amenities are fair. Room was clean. But furniture seemed old and stained. My room did smell like smoke. But I was safe. It was fine for 2 nights.

Pictures do not reflect the actual condition of the rooms. For the cost, the location and room were adequate.
