Baymont by Wyndham Corbin

The was nice but seems like it needs updating

Any situation that came up during my stay the front staff was amazing. They assisted me with anything and everything. I was having questions about. I always look forward to staying at the Corbin Wyndham Hotel.

It was good for it's type

The breakfast was good, but I felt that it could be improved. If you get there early the eggs are good however the ones at the bottom of the pan have a lot of water. There needs to be a way to remove the water. I think that the pan should have small holes in the bottom so the water can drain out to another pan below it. I think that it is time for the Baymont to start replacing the current low toilets that others have been doing with the higher toilets. It is much easier for seniors to use the higher toilets. I also noted that the A/C - Heat unit doesn't have adjustable louvers. The air blows on your right side. (in the room that I had) Corporate people need to spend 1 or 2 nights to also evaluate the facilities.

Room was clean

Breakfast was OK, the sausage was overcooked. No smoking

This hotel is very tired. Facilities are poor and I would not stay again. Staff at reception were very helpful and polite.

Very clean and nice pool

Liked motel. Good pool and whirlpool. Breakfast was so-so. No variety each morning. Sheets were rough. Bathroom was tiny. Check in was slow, with no personality.

Exceptional

It’s the most sketchy hotel I have stayed in my life ! Bugs in the toilet , ac so loud couldn’t sleep at all

All was hood

Location off of the highway They charged me twice and didn’t refund my money they do business with booking.com and they change the date when you reserve your hotel. Then put it on you to get your money back for a date you don’t need. Weeks later no resolution. I reported them to the BBB.

Convenient location Tub-shower combo. Would have preferred a shower. TV was hard to use.

Room was nice, dated a little, but clean and bathroom was spotless. Shower head was high enough for 6'0 person, without having to bendover, to rinse head. Everything worked as it should. Online check-in and check-out was exceptionally easy and saved time. Bed frame, built around bed, sticked out too far and was sharp. Both my sister and I, ended up hitting it, and tearing chunks out of our shins Mine probably needed stitches, but was middle of night. Please see attached pic of frame, to instill how bad this could be, for a child hitting it head on. Seriously, dangerous.

The staff was wonderful

Rudest front desk person - who turned out to be one of the managers. My feet turned brown walking on the floor in my room, the remote had sticky stuff on it. The common areas, including hallways were muggy. For $60+ a night, I wasn’t expecting much - but at least an attempt at customer SERVICE. All I can say…in the most southern way possible…bless her heart (please read with allll the sarcasm I intended). I’m a nice woman who likes to leave positive reviews recognizing great service. I don’t look for things to go wrong to complain about. This was such a horrible experience. Everyone else in Corbin was so friendly - servers, post office and even the dmv employee (when I commented on her kindness she said, “oh honey, it costs nothing” - maybe Wyndham will bring her in to re-train the Baymont’s manager.
