Catalina Motel

The location was directly behind where my son lives The beds, the smell in the rooms, the showers had no pressure in the 2nd room. I had to move cause the smell was to foul in the 1st room like mildew

The rooms were clean. It is not a new hotel, but it is close to the beach and downtown. The owners and staff were outstanding.

Excellent location, very safe and quiet and not too far from everything. Booked a Queen and got a full, and the photos used when booking were of an updated unit and we definitely didn’t get that one like we thought but otherwise everything was still clean and comfortable. The bed was actually very soft and we slept great.

Sat in car about 20min. Room was not ready by check-in time. If I wanted extra towels I had to bring dirty one's to them. There was no closet for hangin anything up. It was adequate for the price.

Cleaning staff was pleasant. The rooms smelled like mold and did not smell nice. The shower curtains look as those they’re old and never get washed. The floors are not even, broken in plenty of places. Has bugs in the room. But if you’re looking for cheap, you get what you pay for here.

It's clean and roomy. Everything works, but I couldn't find the light switch for the kitchenette (maybe bulb was burned out) or the hi fan switch on the ac. However, it's not for staying in all the time. It's by the beach, so for a place sleep at night, it's petfect.

Absolutely terrible do not recommend, got the key from the front desk, and checked out the room and returned the key shortly after ! No Ac the toilet was filthy highly do not recommend

Our stay at the Catalina Motel was simple and convenient. The rooms weren’t the greatest, but you definitely get what you pay for. The location was perfect for the Beach to Bay race and made everything super easy. The owner was very nice and welcoming, which we appreciated. Overall, a good budget-friendly stay if you’re looking for something close to the action.
